Does anyone out there have a Costco Touriva? I need a light (keyword being light) yet safe FAA approved carseat. I don't want to spend too much on it because it will only be for air travel and emergency travel in my husband's car (I hate my son being in his car, so he never is). I've heard this carseat is light and can be used on planes. Anyone have this or any other suggestions?

Thanks so much!

I just bought a Cosco Touriva for our upcoming May trip and it is indeed very light! I don't think I would use it as an everyday carseat (doesn't seem as comfortable as the more expensive ones) but it will work just fine for our vacation. Very lightweight, narrow and the price was right: $49.99. We use an Evenflo Triumph 5 at home for our 12 month old.

How big is your child? We have a Graco CarGo for our oldest DD (used for over 20lbs and 1 year only) that we got for $30 at ValueCity. It is extremely lightweight.

He is around 22-23 pounds. Hmmm.. I wonder if there is a Valuecity around here. I may have to check that one out too. Thanks!
