-Light Bulb Goes Off Over Head- Idea ?

I got to thinking. One of the things done most on vmk is trading. We have all had problems finding a CL to help with trades, they are to busy or whatever SO........
What would you think if vmk supplied the help of "Trader Assistants"?
Maybe they could keep a room open with several assistants on duty to help with trades.

Sound like a good idea?
Would you use them?

Just my opinion but no. If ppl wanna cheat they will find a way. So if theres a trade such as inferno or whatever.....and it takes more than a window full, get an assistant. That way the trade can be on record.

Besides imagine the lag if they make the trade window even bigger. Its bad enough now.

I think that is a great idea.....A little birdie told me today they are working on bigger trade windows and larger friends list but must first over come some tech problems with that.

I think they should actually hire some staff with TH_Blahblah and that TH_ that they know will help like it's called Trade Helper means TH_ I think Rob meant something like that?

I was actually thinking that they should set up a Large Trade Kiosk in Town Square. This kiosk would allow players to input up to 50 items each and can be used to make trades for inferno, stitch, sparrow, beta etc. Then they wouldn't have to increase the trading capabilities for all players.

Once you agree on a large trade you just tell the other party to meet you at the kiosk

I dont care so much about the trade window as I do about having more room on my friends list! Let's hope it's sooner rather than later... lol

I think if there is more space for more items in a trade window it is just more items for someone to scam out of another. As was brought up in another thread about having someone help like that with trades it isn't always the best thing because you don't know if they disconnected and will be back or what will happen. I think even if it was hired staff it still would be a touchy thing. No matter how something could be done there will always be those few that will find a way to scam still. Sadly I don't get why they have to when its just a game. I do think from seeing those on here that have been scammed, that they do need to figure something out to fix this problem.

that the trade window does not close until items are traded and that the moderator "approves" it.
if both parties trading are not happy then the trade is null and void!
because the CL's that are asked to 'Hold" an item cannot see the items truly traded can they, nor can they really do anything if
the item is "snatched" am i right?

the third party moderator needs to be a "tried and true" moderator.

This would be the best thing to have happen. Some hired people that see what the trades are and that things are traded as they should be. It can only be done in a certain room and such as well maybe. This way how could a scam happen if its being watched so closely? I'm sure someone would try to get around it and find a way but it would probably be easier to catch those kind.

I think this is a very bad idea all in all - I think bringing a 3rd party into any trade, whether VMK approved or not, is just asking for trouble.

Thats exactly what I mean Jazz. Take for instance....we have Host_BlahBlah and CL_YackieDuck why cant we have TA_KnowItAll (trader Assistant).....employed by vmk to do nothing but assist in larger trades.

I agree if we have larger trade windows it just offers more opportunity for things to get stolen.

But we definately need a trade over-see'er.

VMK does not even have enough staff to run the Best Guest Room Parties in a timely manner.

And how many trades happen each and every day... I dont see TA's every happening... and if they attempted it, it would cause more trouble then it's worth it to them..
