There is an Aid and Attendance and Housebound Benefits Program for Veterans. 1-800-827-1000 or you can locate it on the VA website. The Aid and Attendance Special Pension provides benefits for vets and spuses who require reglar attendance from another person with bathing, dressing, etc. I have heard that the forms are a bit difficult to fill out but assistance is available through the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign wars. I have also been told that some health insurances will also assist with completing the forms. I do know you need to locate his discharge papers to start the whole ball rolling with them. You can request a copy online from the VA. If you need any other assistance you can PM me, I work for non profit for the elderly in PA.
