OK, I trying to make sure I understand this.

You can by a souvenir cup (not a Meal Deal cup) for around $7.00. These cups are sold outside of various rides and at counter services restaurants at both parks. Is this correct?

And whenever I bring my cup back (be it the same day or five years from now), I pay only $.69 for a refill (or whatever the current refill price is at the time). Is this correct?

Now my big question, what do you do with the cup while you ride? Do put them in the lockers or do you have someone hold them while you ride?

Thanks

We keep bringing ours back and we also see others that are no longer available in the parks so alot of people do bring them back.

When we went on rides we either used a locker, took them with us (if they were empty we tucked them in a knapsack) or left them with who ever wasn't going on the ride. Or left them in the stroller lol

Thanks Catrina!

Its just my two boys and I and we are all riders. Haven't used a stroller in 12 years (YAY!) so that's not an option. We'll probably use the lockers.

most of the homies refer to them as mugs.

since the word cup has been used with limited promos, that might confuse those that have never been to the darkside.

the mugs can run anywhere from $7 - 12 depending on the style and theme you want.

some mugs have handles, some don't.

they will have the hard plastic screw on lid with the plastic straw and cover attachment with it.

if you have a bottle strap for carrying water botttles, the mug handle could slip into that strap. you would be safe carrying the mug w/ that on some rides like cat in the hat, spiderman, etc.

you don't want to spend time using lockers for each ride.

Hi APB,

I just got back from Royal Pacific. At Universal Studios, we bought the red refillable cups for $6.99 and the refills were .69. A while later, we went on the Men In Black ride and had to stow them in the locker. When we passed through the MIB gift shop, we saw that they sold these cool alien-looking cups that were $5.95 for the first fill and .69 a refill! They were longer and thinner than the red cups, so I don't know if they were hard to fit in a locker. It would have saved my family $3 if we had known about them before we bought the red ones and my son is a MIB freak too.

....just need a little clarification:

I thought those mugs/cups that you purchased for around 7-8 dollars had free refills....not charged refills

the sippy cup deal when bought with the meal deal has free refills.

the mugs have a refill charge.

on the boards at the cs, you will see prices.
on the soda section, you will read Refill price
that is the cost for the refillable mugs

they change the promos frequently.
check the website of uo for "other information" to see what promos have changed.

they have in the past during heavy tourist season, made a colored cup a free refill for that day only.
don't think that is in effect now, just the one when you buy the meal deal with it.

i have NOT checked the site in the last 3 weeks.
i based my answer on what was up then but do know for sure, no free refills on the mugs.
