My wife works at a high end childrens boutique and recently had a conversation with one of her customers from out of state and the customer said she had life time Disney passes that cost her about $1100 each. She even showed my wife the passes. Has anyone ever heard of these before??

Hmmmm never heard of those before.....and 1100 sounds cheap.

Never heard of them either....but $1,100 for a lifetime pass, assuming she bought it a long time ago, could infact be expensive.

But as I said...Never Heard of It

Ok - I googled and looked around and the only "lifetime" passes I could find were ones that had been given to certain very lucky families as prizes during celebrations in years past.

I'm told Disney sold them a long time ago, probably back when one day's admission was ten-fifteen dollars and an annual pass costed $100.

If you were hit by a bus or went swimming and plopped down on a stingray and died the next day, your $1100. lifetime pass would be worthless.

wow, pessimist much? :confused3

A lifetime Pass to the Disney Parks would be great. I have heard that business are not allowed to sell life time passes anymore because said business may not be around that long, the business may go out of business., therefore the person who that lifetime pass for oodles of money would be way out of luck, and ticked off :) But we know that will not ever happen to Disney.

A friend of mine got passes, for the entire family, for 10 years, back when she bought into DVC. This was back in 1992, I think. It was a pre-construction deal.

That was a pretty good deal!

I never heard of a lifetime pass.

MORBID!!!!

Anyway I heard about this about 10 years ago and I wanted to buy, but the plan never mareralized. It was something Eisner cooked up to make more $$$, but then he probably realized he had a cash cow with DVC....

'Way back when, you COULD buy lifetime passes. The parks were not always as popular as they are now and this was an incentive that certainly paid off in spades if you were smart enough to see a good deal. :thumbsup2

I can remember the lifetime passes being sold. the last time I saw life time passes listed was 1980.
:thumbsup2

DVC Members would dive at this one! Bring it on!

What does it matter if they have a lifetime pass?

Why? because, those people are the types of people who recognize something special when they see it, and are probably millionaires from the stock market anyways. :smokin:

My parents considered buying all of us one way back when but they didn't for some reason. Don't I wish they had now. :teeth:

Hey, I'm just surprised Eisner didn't render them all VOID! :rotfl2:

Oh man, where's a time machine (and a wallet filled with $1100) when you really really need one?? :teleport:
