Life Jackets

Does any one know if you can where a life jacket on the Summit Plummet or Slusher Gusher at Blizzard Beach? My DS (7) does know how to swim but I'm really worried about him getting disorientated at the bottom when he comes off the slides. Anybody else have this concern?

If I remember right there is only an inch or two of water at the bottom of those slides. No swimming required.
