life jackets & pool toys allowed?

Are my kids allowed to wear a life jacket in the resort pools/water slides and the waterparks?

Also, do they allow floaties, balls, etc in the resort pools?

We see kids with life jacket vests or arm floaties at all the resorts we've stayed at. We just returned last week from AKL. As far as toys, well, in the main pool we brought a splash bomb ball to play with ourselves, we saw a few others have splash type balls, and the lifeguards tossed us some neon dive rings to play with one day.

I haven't seen any ride on toys or rafts though.

We didn't go to the waterparks, but at Pop's pool they provide life jackets, so there were plenty of kids with those on. As far as pool ride ons or toys, the lifeguards threw in some little balls for the kids to play with and some had small beach balls. The only ride in toy we saw was one that an infant was in, one of those little rings.

I know that at Pop, you can also use the Noodles in the pools. They even sell them for $4.00 right in the gift shop. We bought ourselves one to use and then gave it to a little girl before flying home. Rebecca

We saw lots of sm kids' toys in the pools at both AKL and CSR in May. Both resorts have really nice life jackets for the little ones, but the number is not sufficient during busy times. During our 8 days at AKL, we were never able to snag an infant-sized jacket for our 2.5 yo -- and she really wanted to go down the water slide with her brothers!! At CSR, we were able to grab the last one for her one time at mid-day.

In the past, water wings were not permitted in the water parks. This time, we saw lots of them. I wish we had brought ours the day we went to TL. Despite arriving early, the park was so busy that there were no child or infant-sized jackets left for our 2 youngest. Since they are such daredevils anyway, I was a nervous wreck watching them all day. Not a pleasant experience.

You'll find that Disney sells buckets, water balls, and even noodles in most of its pool-side shops.
