Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

No, at Knotts. It was a weird attraction with the house doing crazy stuff like water running uphill, and mirror tricks and the like. As an 8 year old, I thought it was pretty slick!

I liked the corkscrew too! And the stagecoach ride where you got hijacked. The better predecessor of Great Movies Ride.

Ahhhh, Walker Landing! I just finished watching all the seasons of that show. I love it.

I have read a really good blog on the DCA Food & Wine, I think it's from last years on allear.net. In fact, the woman who wrote the blog does a lot on Disneyland/DCA. :thumbsup2

That all vaguely rings a bell....it will be interesting to see what is there!

Oh cool, I will go dig for the blog. I'm about 4 episodes behind wiht the Walkers....a planned holiday backlog!

I never said that I love your new tickers too! Very cool! Professional!

Oh, and I didn't realize they did a F & W in Disneyland! WOWSERS! That is probably really good, too!!!! How do they market it (like at Epcot -- around the world cuisine, so is it the same?)

Thanks! I didn't realize there was one either so was pretty excited to stumble across it.

So once this years schedule comes out, I'll know more!

I need to try and find the blog LL mentioned.

F&W at CA:cool1:

I would definitely wait until Monday - Sunday might be a zoo! I wonder what the Electrical parade route is? There is outdoor seating at Trattoria - the terrace is right next to the street - we ate there this Summer. It would be cool to watch it while you eat dinner - unless it's raining. The food was really good!:thumbsup2

Yeah, I'm actually leaning towards tuesday which seems SO long to wait if we get there on Sat! But I don't really want to do back to back park days so it'd be Beach Sat, Knott's Sun, Beach Mon, DCA, Tues. Love the idea of seeing the electrical parade from outside dining, no clue what the parade route is!

God Morning !!Just catching up!!

Morning!!!!!!
:wave2:

Well that's last years list and really we probably won't do more than the wine/beer walks and regular festival dining that is in the park since the Jr Chef stuff is on the weekend. But you never know, it will depend on what the events are, I could be convinced otherwise for the right thing!

I love your plans for your April vacation. The food & wine at DCA sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you find a seminar you want to attend. I'm sure the boys (all three of them) are going to have a wonderful time.

What? No MK? I guess being from the East Coast I have always been curious to see the original MK. My closest view is when i've flown over it during Soarin'.

Oh I'd do MK in a heartbeat, it's Jeff's issue. We will see if he caves (or if the E's wear him down). It will be interesting to be sure. Weather will play a large factor I think. I haven't been to MK since 2001 and would really love to go, Jeff is connvinced we don't need to since "it's the same" at WDW....so I will need to convince him there is more that is different than he realizes.

Which will take a bit of research on my part as all I now for sure is Mr. Toad and the Indiana Jones Adventure (which I've never even been on!). But I do love me some Mr. Toad.

Oy. ODP next round of pool cuts is tomorrow, hopefully K will do well, we have had a fairly bad week with her coach from our perspective and am not sure if it will factor into her chances at ODP or not. She made it into the larger pool again, this cut will be for the touring team.

Hopefully the fact that he just moved her to FT keeper won't hurt her forward position with ODP!

Arrgh. Talk about stress. State cup is in 2 months, she's played keep once all year and she isn't going to the next tournament due to the fact that 1) we just found out we got accepted and 2) she has a vball tourney the same weekend so 3) we all agreed she could do the vball (plus that's here, versus AZ so $$ is an issue). 7 PDL games between now and state cup to learn keep???????????

BLEH.

Sorry for the OT vent.

what is ODP? something relating to soccer? my brain is tired!

DL vs MK = Mr Toads, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Casey Jr, Storybook, Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin, Matterhorn, New Space Mtn, better Buzz Lightyear, Indiana Jones, longer POTC, Mr Lincoln, New Orleans Square

MK vs DL=Carousel of Progress, Stitch, Monster's Inc, TTA, Country Bear, Hall of Presidents, Liberty Square, Country Bear

Nice run-down!! Simply stated, and easy to read! Thanks!!

I OT rant all the time! Sometimes it can't be helped...

Def. sounds "BLEH"!

So is mine, cramming Korean martial arts terminology is not my idea of a fun time. I swear, the black belt tests are like being pregnant. You forget how awful it is until you go through it again, you just remember the "highs".

I really don't know if he's going to Pass! We have a LOT of work to do this weekend, Jeff is lucky he is out of town.

Yes, ODP is soccer. Each state has a team that then goes to a regional team and then national. It's a new tryout process each year and is critical for scholarships among other things. How much it really develops the player remains to be seen. Right now we are at the tryout stage, supposedly it's down to 39 girls from which they will select the 18 today plus 2 alt's for the touring/camp team bu K just said they let some other girls add back in for today's tryouts and there will be 58 there?

Last year she was an alternate so she did get to go to camp.

US Youth Soccer ODP is known as the premier identification and development program for the nation's youth seeking the opportunity to compete at the national, professional and collegiate levels of play.

US Youth Soccer ODP, designed to identify and develop a pool of players from which U.S. National Teams may be selected, is the original ODP program. US Youth Soccer ODP is the only elite player development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer and the former Women's United Soccer Association, as well as a majority of current and past national and youth team members, as alumni.

Bleh.

LOL!

Ooh! Casey Jr, I LOVED Casey Jr. And Storybook. Ok Jeff might cave for the Matterhorn. We talk about it at WDW every time. I need to birng all these up. Love New Orleans square too.

And of course the different castle's! Not that the boys are all that interested in that.

Nice run-down!! Simply stated, and easy to read! Thanks!!

Double BLEH. But still, wish her luck today! All "blehing" aside, ODP was a really great experience for her last year so I hope it works out. Too much juggling for my brain to think about and I've decided not to think. Her mom chose this path with her, she can juggle the schedule. I just pray we stay informed.
