I agree with those who say that's an awful lot of work for a steak. I was at Le Cellier last week. It was good, but it certainly wasn't worth all the extra work, or any deceit.
You could potentially be taking a room away from someone who really wants to travel those dates and wouldn't know to call back in two months when you revise.
But besides that? I believe in karma. I wouldn't want to do any of that for fear something would go wrong. A few years ago, we were on a cruise and the people in the terminal thought it would be easier to put my grandma (who was 85 but could still walk at that point) in a wheelchair so we wouldn't have to wait in line. The next day, my mom threw her back out and was bedridden for the rest of the cruise and it was hell getting her off the boat and home. She had to be wheeled off the boat and couldn't even sit comfortably. Probably a coincidence, but I still think of it as karma kicking our butts for using a wheelchair for grandma when she really could have gone without.
