Hi,

Do we need to bring our drivers license in the park for anything? I was just thinking cash, tickets, credit card.
Thanks

Bring them, they may ask for them when you use your CC, we've had it happen twice. Also are you using tickets that require finger scans? If so, again bring the ID's because if Finger Scan doesn't work it's the only way to prove your the ticket holder.

Not to mention if there is an emergency and you can't identify yourself for some reason, it's the only way the emergency personel will know who you are.

Do you really want to go anywhere without proper I.D.? I have an employee who left his wallet in his desk one day and went for the transet station. Just happens he headed down a street where there had been a mugging by someone matching his description. It didn't look good for him that he had no I.D., no one in the area knew who he was, and no one left in the office to vouch for him. His wife had to come downtown to the police station with two small kids in tow to get him out of jail. In the intrim, they caught the guy responsible for the mugging. He still had to wait for his wife to get down town through rush hour traffic before he could leave. She would have really been P.O.'ed if he hadn't! Lesson learned: always be able to prove you are who you say you are, even when you've done nothing wrong.

Yes Disney has gotten rather strict about having photo id shown when purchasing with a CC- I got asked the 2 times I used my card and my friend (who didnt bring her id) had to have someone else buy her things as they wouldnt accept it without id- I dont know if its just over a certain amount though (ie 100 bucks)

but yes aways bring that ID- as you'll never know if you'll need it-

Reading this thread reminded me.....we went to Dollywood during November and they required your Driver's License to rent a stroller....when I say required....they kept your license until you returned the stroller. I was shocked that they required this.

I thought this was absolutely ridiculous and let them know so. I felt very uncomfortable having my husband leave his driver's license with them all day.

I told the man at the stroller rental that WDW didn't require that you leave you driver's license so why in the world did they find it necessary to take and keep someone's only form of ID for the entire day in order to rent a stroller. His only reply was that they had always done it that way.

Dollywood is not WDW, different company, different rules. Cannot say I blame you for being upset. BUT, I bet people don't leave their strollers all over the park at closing time.
