Hi
Ok since DCL does not take your photo to match to your KTTW card do you need to bring a picture ID off the ship with you? What would you bring should you not have a drivers license or passport? A previous post mentioned that in addition to you KTTW card you needed to take your photo ID card off the ship (drivers license etc.) when you stop at various ports.

Yes, you need to take a drivers license or passport off the ship with you.

if they are still doing it the same way when we cruised in Oct, a security guard will be checking your photo id before you are even allowed on the gangplank.

Yes a photo ID is a must. You would never want to disembark onto a foreign port anyway without your proof of identification.

If you do not have a passport nor a drivers license, your local Department of Motor Vehicles will be able to issue you a nondrivers photo ID.

For what it's worth, I would use a driver's license or similar as photo ID for reboarding at the ports. I can't imagine losing my passport at a foreign port.

Losing your license may mean a trip to the DMV when you get home, but at least you'll be allowed back in the US to go to the DMV. :)
