Liberty Tree Tavern...

Maybe you don't hear much because at least dinner hasn't changed in decades other than they dropped the characters.

And while many love a Thanksgiving meal, it's just not special to many. We ate there last summer and it was fine other than the "house made" macaroni and cheese - it tastes exactly the same as when Stouffers was the sponsor and providing frozen mac and cheese. If you are a big eater the price (for Disney) is a value, especially since good comfort food that is palatable to most in any party. In the end the final bill was more than the value FOR US and it will be a once every few years.

I really miss their lunch a la carte menu, great food and a nice mid day break.

much preferred the ala cart options. for me, it’s just too much heavy food in the disney heat & humidity but, it is good.

still do GG when a kiddo along & they request it. I basically pick at the food there as offerings & quality have seriously declined in my eyes/tom turkey has left the building.

I honestly didn’t find the food heavy....I’m so glad this thread popped up because I was so focused on trying other restaurants that I’d forgotten LTT. I have a 7:05 ADR on my MK day - doesn’t get much better than that

Completely agree. We even rarely get seconds but find it a lot of heavy food to then head back out and enjoy the park. Maybe dinner if we are heading back to hotel. But each time we eat this meal and some others we wonder why in the world we did this to ourselves. BUT we are not heavy food eaters, to others it might not feel that way.

I had gone probably 8 years without eating at Liberty Tree until 2018 with family when they really wanted a meal in the park rather than leaving for a resort, and I took a chance. It was wonderful, tasty, filling, and left such a good mark that I ended up booking it 2 more times in 2019 and again in 2020 just before the pandemic shutdown. I did some solo trips after that and didn't book it until June 2022, as I really had missed the turkey & stuffing, pot roast, gravy and bottomless apple juice. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite as good that trip - salad was wilted and lacking dressing, stuffing was room temperature and underseasoned, turkey a bit dry. I haven't been back since as I did worry maybe they were slipping - but I'm thinking it might have just been the operating pains since the pandemic and supply chain issues and being down on staff that it was just a bad day or week - sounds like other experiences here are very much like what I had been experiencing there lately - it gives me more confidence to go ahead and book it again for some of my upcoming trips this year (I'll be there next week, but already booked Steakhouse 71 in MK day).

I don't like Thanksgiving or much American food but the dessert is ridiculously good.

For us, it was worth it when we had free dining packages. It was a solid use of a meal credit.
I agree about the mac and cheese. The last time we went it didn't even taste like there was any cheese involved.

I went one January evening as a solo diner, and I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed the salad! For some reason it just tasted so much better than I remembered. I will most likely book a visit during my May trip, but I will tell them to not even bother bringing the mac n cheese. I did not like that at all.

I do wish they would bring back the a la carte lunch items, though. I liked the option to do either/or.

It was great with Free Dining when there were characters there in their historical attire. Great value!

At lunch sometimes I would order the salad (delicious) so I had room for the dessert!!!

Pulled the trigger...we will be having lunch there at 11:15 on our MK day...looking forward to it! I had actually asked a friend of mine that goes frequently about it and he couldn't say enough good things. He mentioned Diamond Horseshoe as well(same menu) but said he preferred Liberty Tree's atmosphere.

We love the food and atmosphere, so LTT is a must-do every visit for our family. If you are like us and love Thanksgiving food, try the Thanksgiving sandwich at Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs. It is SO GOOD! We still talk about this sandwich!
