Liberty Tree Tavern

Sadly I must agree with Eeyore0062 on dinner at LTT. Great atmosphere, fine service and character interaction, but mediocre food. I was the first person called to be seated after the host family rang the bell, so freshness was not the issue.

I hope it was not a typical experience as I like everything else about the restaurant.

I agree with eeyore0062 and erikthewise about dinner at LTT. Lunch is good these days, however. You order from a menu and our choices were all good. It does have a great atmosphere and we too had fine service. Do lunch!

We loved the atmosphere and found the food to be acceptable. I would definitely go back though b/c it was one of the few nights that my kids ate something other than chicken fingers and french fries. My DDs loved the food! The character interaction was good too.

Brutus...have no fear....the characters were raring to go! Goofy was the best Goofy we found anywhere!!

The character Dinner at LTT has been a staple PS of ours since 2001.

The food was OK (love the buns here), nothing to write home about but the character interaction was top-notched. We've always had fun here with the characters, We've always gone with a Saturday evening PS which would place up in a good spot for Spectro straight after the meal. And this along with Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks caps off a great Saturday or Sunday at the MK.

So it gets a 3/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for characters, 4/5 for parade placement after the meal, 5/5 for capping off a great evening at the MK!

Hope this helps!

What is a good time if you want to see the parade? We will have our grandchildren, boy 10 and girl 9, are they to old to enjoy a character meal? Planning to go to the AK and then MK for the evening parade as this will probably be the only night we will be able to see it. For our party of 6 will it be worth the cost?

Here's a picture of Goofy hitting the head in LTT prior to dinner being served, so yes, I can confirm the presence of characters at the beginning of dinner.

No one is EVER too old to enjoy a character meal~! My DD is almost 9 and looks forward to enjoying at least one or 2 every trip. We did 1900 Park Faire for breakfast last time, and she was beside herself! DH and I have even done some on our own... the Pooh breakfast at Artist's Point, before they cancelled it and LTT (not our favorite meal, but the characters were great!)

Our favorite current character meals are :
1900 Park Faire breakfast
Hollywood and Vine Lunch
Storybook Princess Breakfast
Garden Grille dinner

Go, and have a great time!:)

We enjoyed or meal here. We went on our last day at the parks. I made a PS for 4pm. The characters did start right away, and there was a lot of interaction. My kids still talk about the "HONEY BUTTER" that was served with the rolls. I have to say it was good. Funny what kids will remember!

I have to agree with eeyore0062... no one is too old for a character meal. I went to WDW for the first time 3 years ago when I was 26. I was travelling with a friend and her children (ages 15, 11, and 11). They had been several times so my friend made the comment that it would be the first year she didn't have to get up early to go to a character breakfast. I stuck my bottom lip out and gave the puppy dog eyes so that we could go to the Beach Club and see Goofy at the Cape May Cafe.
Last year I took my dad, niece, and nephew. My dad enjoy the characters as much as the kids and he was 64!!
Take the grandkids and have a good time. Just don't forget the camera and your autograph book!!

I have never eaten a meal in the MK except breakfast because frankly, after a day at the park with kids, I need a drink with dinner.

I thought MK didn't allow(serve) alcohol, but what is this Birch Beer? And Tavern Punch?

Maybe I can eat there.

Sorry, but Birch Beer is nothing more than an old fashioned root beer. Not sure what Tavern Punch is, but I'm sure it is something likewise non-alcoholic;)

Luvdvc, Stouffer's does sponsor it and you are right the macaroni and cheese is stouffer's frozen.

Personally I'm glad of that, maybe my kids will eat it! ;)

I just got a PS for 5/1 at 5:25 and we're looking forward to it as someplace we haven't tried in many previous trips. I appreciate reading all the recent reviews.

That's right! My boys loved it. Nothing 'scary' and I was glad it wasn't chicken strips and french fries ;)

We were seated near the fireplace. Pluto came in, walked over to the hearth, circled three times, laid down, curled into a ball, and "napped" at our feet. I have to agree that the characters here are the best!

I can't wait for my 60 day mark so I can make my PS for this restaurant. We want to do Mother's Day dinner here. The food sounds yummy and the characters sound great too.

I think we'll try for an early dinner.

Thanks for all the wonderful posts.

We've done the character dinner here twice with our best friends on previous trips and when we decided to go for Easter vacation week I asked where everyone wanted to have Easter dinner and Liberty Tree won hands down. We have 3 kids in the group ranging from 8-15 and they all love it as do the adults.

Yeah... I can DEFINITELY relate!!!! We usually leave and eat at a monorail resort or at Epcot, where we can get a cold one and relax!~

Does anyone know if the salad can be served without the dressing or with ranch dressing?

My youngest (8) will be very picky on this menu, and she loves salad but only with ranch. She probably won't touch any of the meat or mac n cheese - she will eat stuffing and rolls, I think.

Oh well, this one is for my oldest daughter (10) anyway, and she'll do fine! Pluto is one of her favorites.
