Does anyone know if dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK is a buffet only or can you also order from the menu?
The menu database here shows a menu but I thought I read somewhere it was a buffet.

It is not buffet style.....you sit at a table and have a waiter/waitress. But the selections are limited. What they bring you is unlimited platters of three meats...turkey, ham and beef. (The turkey is excellent!). Side dishes also come. It's as much as you can eat and it is very, very good. The lemonade was wonderful on the hot day we ate there!
It is our family's favorite restaurant experience...do not pass it up!!!

Very good family style american cooking. Character dinner. Unlimited eating of pretty good food. The salad and dressing are fabulous. And they have some great desserts.

We were there for Halloween in 2001 and loved the food. It was a family style buffet. From mr trip report:

Dinner was at the Liberty Tree Tavern. This was a great meal. The characters were dressed in Halloween costumes and were very friendly as we were also in costumes. My poor sons had to keep taking there costumes off because they were so hot and putting them on for pictures. Dinner consisted of flank steak, ham and turkey, all was tender and juicy. The vegetables were carrots, mashed potatoes and I believe corn(but don’t quote me). Again very good. We passed on desserts, which are not included, because we were full and were sure of getting candy during MNSSHP. We rate this a 9.5. Total was about $95.00.

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like a great place to eat! I'm looking for someplace to eat on our first night. We will be spending the day at MK.
I'm torn between Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace for dinner. Too many choices!

LTT is much more relaxed than Crystal Palace. We love them both and usually do LTT for lunch (no characters) and CP for either dinner or breakfast (buffet and characters all three meals).

At non-holiday seasons, the characters at LTT dress in pilgrim style clothing. The characters are Goofy, Chip-n-dale, and Minnie.

Dinner at LTT is family style as stated and lunch is ala carte.
