This is probably old news to most of you, but I just called to make my dining ressies for Jan '09. I was told that after Jan. 5, 2009, there will no longer be characters at Liberty Tree Tavern. I was so disappointed!! That was my favorite character meal! Would you still make reservations there w/o the characters? The food is really good, too, I just can't imagine the dinner without the characters.

Wow. That's a shame. I can see no other reason to go to this restaurant in the future. The meal was horrible, but the characters were great.

Nope, but I think the food is icky so I wouldn't ever go just for the food. Perhaps it'll improve?

Yeah, I read that on here a month or two ago, so I made sure we got ADRs there for our December trip. My kids really enjoy the LTT character meal, so we will be sorry to see it go. Maybe they have some great new character meal in the works?!

Has best ratio of characters to guest (26 to 1) so always lots of interaction with them.It will be missed by many and food is good but not main draw for my family. Danny

I heard about that too and I was really upset because we always wanted to try dinner here! Luckily we scored dinner Xmas day and will get to enjoy it with the characters! Soooo excited!

We have good memories of the LTT, we always eat there on our 1st night~just became a tradition for us so I'm not sure what we'll do when we go back after this trip.

Okay, we LOVED the food there! That is one of our favorite places to eat. I would go again without the characters.

We won't be back without characters. Maybe for Lunch but never dinner. The food just isn't good enough to stand on its own, but then again neither is Tonys, but hey...when our in the MK who cares, they will be full either way.

Has anyone tried the fried cheese appetizer there, and if so, is it any good? I'm a new vegetarian, and I am trying to think of things I can eat while I'm there!

Is the food really that bad? We are eating there before MVMCP on 12/2. Also anyone know if you can get into the park any earlier than the time on the tickets? We have a 6pm adr at LTT and we were not planning on doing a park that day to save the our days but then I looked at the ticket and I think it says 7 or 7:30 (I don't have it in front of me right now). I don't want to use a day on our ticket but if we have to I'll have to change our plans so we spend more time there that day.

This appetizer is awesome! I loooved the white cheese nuggets - definitely try it if you like fried cheese!

I believe you can get into the MK with your party ticket beginning at 4:00pm
