Does anyone happen to know if Liberty Tree Tavern is wheelchair accesable? I've been there before but cant seem to remember. Also is there a list anywhere of what restaurants arent Wheelchair friendly??? I would think most are. Thanks!

I believe that you have to go up a couple of stairs to get into the dining room. The bathrooms are all upstairs as well (unless they have some handicap accessible bathrooms hidden).

They walked us around to a side entrance. We didn't need to worry about the steps, unless you need to go up stairs to the bathroom. Then you'd have to leave to an outside facility.

Ditto to what Sally said. The closest handicapped bathroom is on the other side of CHH heading toward small world.

All of the restaurants are wheelchair accessible. Some might have stairs at one doorway, but are flat entrances at other doorways.
Besides the Liberty Tree Tavern, another example of a restaurant with stairs at some entrance doors is Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland.

We have been coming to WDW for more than 20 years and I have not found a place yet that doesn't have some way in that avoids stairs. If you see stairs, look for or ask a CM for another entrance. There will be one without any stairs.

(Bathrooms are another matter though - most of the ones in MK are not big enough to get a wheelchair into the stall. There are a few largest stalls and even fewer Companion Restrooms, but you may have to look).

We ate there Oct 2006 during the Spectromagic parade. The restaurant was really crowded, though. We waited inside and when our table was ready we were esorted back out the front door to the side and up a ramp to the door. There was a table just inside the door. So people had to move to let us in. Move sleeping babies in strollers, etc. The food and the characters were great, but it was so crowded. When we left, people had to move to let us out. Oh, yes and no bathroom available. We'd probably only eat there again when things were a little slower - I think this was a Saturday night. Have fun!

This is my favorite restaurant. I swear I could eat every meal there.

I wish there was an easier way to enter and exit the restaurant. I hate making people move while they are eating, and like someone said there always seems to be a sleeping baby in the way. I don't want to wake them up while mom and dad are having a nice meal.

Hopefully, maybe next refurb they will do something about the entrance.

The only one I can think of offhand is Cosmic Rays in MK (Tomorrowland).
There is also an outdoor area in the Studio that has stairs in one area, but because it is outdoors, you can see the ramped ways in.
The counter service restaurant in Japan (Yakitori House) has a rather steep ramp to get up to it.

The least accessible places will be in MK and Epcot because they were built much longer ago. AK and the Studio are pretty accessible because of their age. Even the older places have ramps and stairs, so there are not any that are totally inaccessible.

We were there in Spt last year and didn't have any trouble. There was plenty of room when we came in and left. Our table was all the way on the other side of the room, and we didn't have any issues. Other then I was a tad confused how to get out!! haha!

Some minor ones are the Mexico pavilion and Hollywood and Vine, they have ramps off to the side.
Hoop de doo also makes you go into Trails end to get into their area.

::yes::
Forgot about Mexico. We know where the ramp is and don't even think about the stairs.

Brown Derby, depending upon where in the restaurant you are seated, may require an alternate entrance...but it really isn't a problem.

There are two tiers, the upper tier is accessed through the main entrance, the lower tier (the large center area) is accessed through doors to the front patio area. A CM will escort you. The tables aren't as close together as they are at Liberty Tree, so we had no problems getting to the table.
