Character meal at Liberty Tree Tavern Jan-Feb 2010 (Breakfast Menu added to 1st post)

I am going in January and was hoping for Crystal Palace. So, with this news, which would be better LTT or Chef Mickey's? :confused3

Chef Mickeys!! The plus with LTT and the reason we are eating there is it is IN the park...it is easier for us. We are actually eating at both CMs and LTT though, but if I had to pick one, Chef Mickey's hands down.

I'd have to say you need to do both:) What will be unique about LTT this January is that it has not been a character meal for quite a while, so its a "special" treat. There is also no comparrisson to the ease of eating in the MK. Chef Mickeys is a fun romp with totally different characters than what will be offerred at LTT. ( Well depending on which characters will actually be there!) It is a great place to eat out of the parks and explore a unique resort. If you are dissapointed about missing Pooh specifically, he does still do the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare with Mary Poppins.

Oh no! Both was not the answer I needed as I will feel compelled to add another restaurant on to my stay. ;)

I have never been to Chef Mickey's but recall everyone talking about it when I went a few years ago. But now I have read some reviews that Chef Mickey's had lost some of its luster so was concerned if it was still worth it.

Ironically I have heard the same thing review wise about Chef Mickeys lately, however we are still braving it. I have resservations there for breakfast and dinner. We will probalby only do one of those meals, and I always feel that breakfast is harder to mess up! Do both, you won't ever regret having the fun.

Now - question - I love the CP puff french toast, I know CM didn't have it when we were there last year, does LTT, or anywhere else!?

Which characters are going to be at the Liberty Tree Tavern while CP is closed?

I never ate there when there were characters. I know Goofy and Minnie were there.

Is Mickey one of them?

My son needs to know if Mickey will be there. Thank you.

Just wondering if anyone has heard which characters they will have when they are open with character meals in place of Crystal Palace? ANyone have a reservation yet and asked. the CM I spoke to didn't know. Thanks.

During these supposed "slow times" at WDW, I understand that they are cutting back on the number of characters at these character meals. I would check and find out what is going on before making any reservations.

I'm getting so confused trying to keep up with the post.
What are they serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and what are the costs?

If this information is available it may help to be posted in the first post. thanks for all the help. Why does disney have to refurb CP now??? this stinks. Looking for pooh and friends also.

I'm confused about the description of the "all you care to enjoy family style meal."
Does this mean that we can't all order a different meal? That we all have to eat one choice? Or is it buffet? The photos on the site are of a single plated meal and the prices on the menu seem to be per plate too.

It is not a buffet. Everyone eats from the same menu, and the menu items are brought to the table in larger dishes, to be passed around and dished out like a family would at home. It is all you can eat; if you want more of an item, you can ask for it.

LTT will not have its a la carte lunch menu during the Crystal Palace rehab. The lunch menu will be the same family style meal as dinner.

Does anyone know what the family style meal will be? I am a new vegan (vegetarian for years and recently went all the way). My family is not veetarian at all so no concerns for them but will there be something other than green salad for me?:hippie:

it's ham, maybe beef too, old lady's memory is short, potatos, veggies and salad.
