My hubby and I are planning a trip in December to celebrate my upcoming college graduation. I have wanted to try LTT for a while, especially at Christmas. I am sure it is awesome. My hubby is not a huge fan of the characters. He just doesn't care for much attention from them. I am wondering if he will feel uncomfortable at LTT. We do not have any children. If you are without children, do the characters interact a lot? I love the characters, but he is not as big a fan. What do you think? Should we avoid?

I've eaten at many character meals without children and I don't think it is awkward at all. That said, I think LTT is one of the more "grown-up" character meals, due to it's atmosphere. It's not like Chef Mickey's with the dancing and napkin waving all that. And since it's not buffet, there is much less chaos. I also think the characters can "read" people well. If you don't have an autograph book to sign and you just want to say "hi" and snap a quick picture, they will do that and move on. They basically play off of how you act towards them. Go and enjoy the atmosphere and the meal.

Also, if you go for lunch, there arent any characters. So you can still enjoy the food (i happen to love the food but there are mixed reviews as there are for most any restaurant I guess) but there are no characters. One other thing though....dinner is "all you can eat" with a limited menu and lunch is just one plate with a more varied menu.

I think this sounds like the perfect place for you and hubby. It is more calm than most character meals as the above poster said and I think the food is great. It would give you the character interaction you like, but it's not crazy, loud and all out like many of the others so your hubby should feel comfortable. Have fun and congrats on graduation.

I ate there (w/o children) last fall. I went for the food, not the characters. The characters came over, but since we weren't really jumping up for pictures, they kind of waved and moved along. It was fine with us. I noticed that the manager was going around to many of the adults-only tables and asking if the characters were stopping by enough. Not sure if this is standard practice, but if your husband is uncomfortable I am sure you can mention to someone to have them skip your table. I am sure there will be many other tables that will appreciate the extra time.

We ate at LTT last June. It was DH, myself and DS5. The food is delicious. DH made it a mandatory PS this trip (and to think he didn't even want to try it out last year :rotfl: ). THe characters interact a lot with the children, but not quite as much with the adults. We were seated next to a couple who were enjoying a meal w/o children. After the first round that the characters made, they told the server that they had gotten all the pictures that they wanted and didn't need another character visit. After that, the characters just waved to them. Hope that it works out for you, LTT is a great place for dinner at MK.
