Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace?

I'd pick lunch at LTT. It's a la carte, very good food. No characters though if that's what you're looking for.

Dinner at Crystal Palace. I love their buffet food and I love the character interaction and I love the atmosphere.

My family (DH, 8 year DD, and myself) love Liberty Tree so much that we always schedule a character dinner each year. The characters are great and my DD is even more excited now that she has read the Liberty Kids Books based on the PBS show.

The food is great comfort food and the characters are great. The noise level is much better than that at the Crystal Palace. We have been to Crystal Palace before and were not impressed.

Our family really loved crystal palace buffet for dinner when we went last Aug. We had a later time and besides having individual pictures taken with the characters we also were able to take a family group shot with all of the winnie the pooh characters including my dd favorite, piglet. It was a special memory for us. I had the picture enlarged and put in a family memory frame. It looks great on our wall along with a small frame that reads I rather be in disney world. Crystal palace is a must do (at least once) for the food and pictures. Don't forget the camera.

Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. Crystal Palace is not what it used to be. The buffet really is not very good, and the character interaction is poor. It's very rushed.
The food at Liberty Tree Tavern is excellent. The meal is of course rushed (everything at WDW is), but nothing like at other places. The character interaction is better (during the most crowded time over Easter weekend in 2000, a couple characters dragged me out of my chair to dance). The food is served family style, and is your typical Thanksgiving type meal. It's great. LTT is also somewhat quieter than Crystal Palace.

Just ate there last night and I will have to say Dinner at CP!! ::yes::

Liberty Tree all the way!! IMHO the food is just better.

Wow, so far it's 50/50; 4 people like CP and 4 like LTT!!

I've never seen a vote split down the middle like that!

So I guess you just can't go wrong with either one and will have to decide by looking at the menu at www.allearnet.com or decide by whether you want characters or not or which characters you want!

They are both nice restaurants.

We have been to CP several times for breakfast and lunch, never dinner. We ate lunch once at LTT. We liked both of them. This year, we don't have anything scheduled for CP, but we do have a dinner reserved at LTT for July 4. Really looking forward to that.

Thanks,

Pam

We ate at LTT on our last trip in November. We all agree that we like Crystal Palace better. Was rushed all the way around (food, characters etc...) at LTT. We also thought LTT was even noisier than CP, go figure. With my son (and grandson next trip) the buffet at CP seems to work better, though we might end up doing both. We have LTT booked before MNSSHP and will try to change to CP at the 90 day mark, if not will just have to do both!

We just came back and had lunch at the Crystal Palace last Monday. We all enjoyed the buffet (good food and variety). The dinner menu is not much different than the lunch menu.

The interaction with the characters were great. Each came to the table and spent enough time to get shots from 2 different cameras and a camcorder. Only Pooh stayed by the buffet and you had to get in line to meet him. But we did not feel rushed at all and thought they were patient as we got pics from all the cameras in our party.

Haven't tried LTT so can't compare. Would do Crystal Palace again. My 2yr old and 11 mo old loved it.

Hello!

I was at Crystal Palace last Monday for lunch. I loved it! The food and service were both very good. I will definitely go back again if I get the chance.

LTT for dinner. CP is fine, but LTT is one of our favorites.

Good food, and we love the colonial atmosphere. Plus, I prefer Goofy and the gang to Pooh's crew.

You also get to stay at your table. I like buffets, but there's a lot going on when you have characters coming around and are getting up and down to get food... plus trying to get a little one or two to eat.
