Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace for lunch?

Ive been to both of these places. they both have classic disney characters. in choosing your choice, which are your favorite set of characters, because that is mainly what your priced is based on. crystal palace has winnie the pooh characters, and i've only been there for the breakfast buffet. its ordinary breakfast food, not anything spectacular and when i ate there, the food was cold. i had a good time b/c i love those characters. when i went to liberty tree tavern for the first time, i loooved it. the food is soo good, hot and delievered to you. its also all you can eat. characters come over to take pics and autographs without rushing and the setting it like old colonial times, so the staff there def. plays part of that role. i loved it so much that i went again the next year, and it was just as fabulous. ive been to the liberty tree tavern for dinner, but i believe they serve the same food and service. i would def. say go to liberty tree tavern, but make sure you make reservations. if you like creamy mac n cheese, baked turkey and gravy, ham, pork, string beens, pink lemonade, awesome salad w/ strawberry vinegrette and delicious dessert..def. choose liberty tree tavern!

The lunch menu at LTT is different from the dinner menu you mention in your response. But, to the OP, the CP is a buffet and the characters are from POOH, LTT lunch is a la carte (soups, appetizers, sandwiches, salads, etc.) with Mickey, Minnie and a few other favorite characters. If you haven't checked out Allearsnet.com, please do so now. They have all the menus from most of the restaurants on site! Whichever you choose, you will have a magical Disney dining experience.....it's your choice!

LTT's Sandwich Heard Round the World!!!! YYYYUUUUUMMMMM:thumbsup2

Well, I'm concerned more with the food than the characters...so, LTT is sounding better to me so far!

I hate to confuse you, but I say CP all the way! To me, there is no comparison. Of course everyone has their own opinion, but I feel STRONGLY that CP is the way to go!

I agree with the above poster- Crystal Palace is my family's favorite place to eat! We've had dinner here many times- never breakfast or lunch- but I'm guessing lunch and dinner are very close to the same. We ate at LTT once for dinner- very disappointed and no one in my family- including my dh and I and kids, my parents and brother- liked the food. Also, not many choices either. But, we're glad we tried it b/c you don't know until you try something! Definitely look at allears.net to look at the menus. For us, it is CP ALL the way! We love the food here and the chioces are huge for adults and kids! Plus, you get to bounce with Tigger!!!:goodvibes

Pretty good for counter service? We plan on visiting the "wildernesses" one day during our trip, and were planning WCC, but...been hearing some recent very unfavorable reviews. I hate to spend $$ and be disappointed with the food. Roaring Fork's menu looks pretty good, but I haven't read any opinions. What do y'all think?

RF is pretty good. I don't think there is anything to get too excited over. To me, the counter service at AKL (Mara) is the best! That is one of the few resort counter service places that I actually get excited about!

I have mixed opinions about WCC also. We love their skillet breakfast (can you get their early enough for breakfast?) and their "all u care to eat" dinner skillet is one of DH's favorites. Other than those items, the food is just "eh."

Overall, though, I prefer a sit down meal to counter service, so if I was choosing, I would choose WCC.

Remeber, there is a boat from the WL that will take you to the CR, and from there you can hop the monorail and go to the Poly or GF, so all those restaurants are available to you, too!

LTT is very good for lunch. No characters, but great food - the crab cake appetizer is incredible and a meal in itself.

Hi.. depends on what type of atmosphere you would like. Just note that at LTT there are no characters for lunch, only dinner. And it's a family style meal, rather than buffet.

I liked both, just depended on where the kids wanted to go to see specific characters for dinner.

Good luck deciding... :)

At LTT, the characters only appear at dinner. At CP, the Pooh characters appear at breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are wanting lunch and characters, you have to go with CP. We are giving it a try on August 1st, haven't been to CP in about 7 years!

If you are more interested in the food, go for LTT! As previously mentioned, the crab cake appetizer is wonderful, and the pot roast w/veggies & a cabernet reduction sauce is outstanding as well. A hidden lunch gem that many overlook!
