With all of the restaurants we have dined at in Disney, I can't believe we haven't tried the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. I would love to read any reviews or comments people have about this restaurant. Thank you! :flower: :earboy2: :sunny:

We have gone several times...........lunch, the food is very good but no characters.........dinner, the food is nothing special but the characters are great!

It is totally different at lunch than at dinner. Guess it depends on you! Are you in it for the "character meal" or for the food?

We tried it for the first time in August. We were pleasantly surprised. They brought mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and corn to the table family style, and then brought out a plate with roast beef, turkey and ham. There was a salad with a nice strawberry vinegrette dressing, and a berry cobbler (served family style) for dessert.

We thought everything was nice. The characters were good, and with the DDE card it was $80 for 2 adults, 2 kids and a toddler. That's pretty good for a nice, sit-down meal.

We'll definitely go back.

This is our favorite character meal, we go every trip.

The food is hot and plentiful, nothing spectacular, but good enough to justify returning. But we really go for the atmosphere and character interaction.

The restaurant is very cozy and inviting, and every time we go the characters spend tons of time with us, playing games with the kids, etc. In fact, on our last trip we were laughing because the characters came around so many times we were actually running out of things to say to them! :teeth:

I don't think you'll be disappointed with this meal. We can't wait to go back!

I posted pictures yesterday on the food pics thread-check the stickies at the top of the restaurant page!

DH and I loved our character meal at the LTT that we booked another for our next trip. We thought the food was yummy!!
While we were there the person who is in charge of the characters rotating properly came to our table and was a girl who went to college in Vermont with! (it's a small world!!) :cool1:

It was probably the most "relaxed" character meal we have done. All of us including the "pickey" eaters in the family enjoyed this meal. They were serving apple cobbler for dessert which was to die for!! I won't hesitate to do this meal again. The characters came to every table and spent time with the kids..it was great. For me the best part was it wasn't one of those blah food character meals!! :earboy2:

I can't advise you on dinner but I went to LTT for lunch last week and it was wonderful. I had the William Penn Pasta and everyone in my family tried it and thought it was great. But the desserts were absolutely to die for (and they're also available at dinner a la carte). All of the desserts are served with homemade ice cream. There were three people in our party and each of us ordered a separate dessert. My Mom ordered the Butter griddled poundcake which was huge and served with a wonderful hot praline sauce. I ordered the molten chocolate cake which was also very good and served with cherry ice cream (with lots of yummy cherry pieces) - this was hands down the best dessert on the whole trip, and we had a LOT of great desserts. My sister ordered the apple tart which turned out to be a small (but not tiny and definitely not tart-like) apple pie complete with fancy crust and cinnamon ice cream. Yumm! It was my first trip to LTT and I will definitely be going back next time.

We loved it!! We ate there last December for the Christmas Party for dinner. We liked it so much that we ate there again in May for lunch and dinner! The characters are awesome and my boys really enjoyed it!!!

We went for dinner in August. We thought the characters were great - and so much fun in their colonial costumes. Lots of interaction. The food was good too, and I wasn't expecting it to be. It is family style and you can ask for more of anything you want. I reccomend it highly.

We love the entire experience at LTT...food and characters..., and make sure to go every trip.

My family had dinner there our last visit and enjoyed it tremendously. The character interaction was some of the best we had our whole trip and we thought the food was excellent. Chip and Dale are hilarious and we got some really funny pictures of Chip playing with my husband's hat. We can't wait to go back.

:cheer2: It's wonderful there! We had a great time. It is my DH's Fav.He said his apple pie was the best he has ever had. We went there twice! This trip I couldn't get a ADR for dinner. :sad2: But we did get a late lunch. Hope it will be as nice. We will be there Sept. 26th. When we get back I will let everyone know how it turned out. :wave2:

LTT is just one of those meals that becomes a tradition trip after trip! We have been for both lunch and dinner and loved everything! I definately recommend the character dinner. We went this past Jan and even though my kids were 9. 13 & 16 they all loved it! Goofy & chip put on a skit right next to our table and we couldn't stop laughing! As for the food, even picky dd liked it so it must be good!

Wow, I have ADR's for Thanksgiving dinner @ LTT and have never been. I am really glad I made them after reading all of these wonderful reviews. :Pinkbounc

I just posted one today, it's under the "Our late dining report 8/28-9/3", it should be under Part 1. HTH!

Way back in '97 :rotfl2: my DH and I tried Liberty Tree on a lark. Walked in, didn't have to wait, found out it was a character dinner, but said what the heck, lets do it anyway. It was wonderful. It was my first character dining experience. I had no idea they would play with kids in their 20's! The food was fresh, plentiful without being overwhelming, and very satisfying. The mixed green salad is a very good quality. The main dishes just make you feel good after a long day in the park. On more than one occasion, we've walked out of dinner to the start of the parade with a decent view.

We've since done several character meals...all buffets...and LTT has it over all the buffets we've tried. It's a much more subdued atmosphere, where I've never seen kids running wild. Noise levels are conversation-friendly.
HTH!
