We have a reservation at 4:05 for LTT before MNSSHP. Is it worth it? My husband is concerned over a heavy dinner at that time. I know they say to skip a large sit down meal in the park before MNSSHP so no time is wasted at the party but I've never been to LTT and we cancel it every time!

We did this last year. For me you choose how much you want to eat and if you stuff yourself it might be tough to walk around doing everything. For us the hardest part to control ourselves is desert. That desert is just so good. We our scheduled to do LTT before our DAH in December but I am thinking about changing it since we would get ice cream and other goodies at the event.

My wife and I had dinner at LTT before our MNSSHP last month (8/30). We were in the park for the day and had an ADR at 3:15. We enjoyed our meal quite a lot. We were done with our meal in more than enough time to check in for the party and be second on line for Moana (was my wife's must do of the party). Even after Moana, we had enough time to stop and get a party tote and party pin, walk the cut through behind MSUSA and get on line for Lotso prior to the official start of the party.

Is it possible to make an earlier ADR (more like a very late lunch/very early dinner)? Are you planning on arriving at MK and entering with a party ticket only (in witch case (see what I did there) you may not make it to your ADR in time) or are you planning on spending more of the day at MK before the party?

We went at 530pm on party night this year. It worked out very well. We were done before trick or treating started at 7. Also avoided some of the crowded period from 4-7 when both day and party visitors are in the park. We were in the park all day. If we were only there for the party, would not have done.

We love LTT, so I would do it. You'll need to eat dinner anyway, and its true that its not advisable to eat during the party so as not to waste party time. That said, if meeting any of the popular characters is important to you, you'll want to line up well before 7pm for that or else you'll be in line most of the night. With a 4:05 reservation, if you check in a little bit early, I think the timing would work out just right. I would also plan to be in the park prior to that and see if any CMs are starting to hand out party wristbands yet. You may need to do that after dinner.

We went on party night this year and it worked out fine. But I think I would skip LTT and go over to Skipper Canteen instead. We have a much better meal there.

We are just going to the party that day. Our ADR isn't much different from when yours was though...so, i'm definitely going to consider keeping the ADR. Thanks!

We will get there close to our ADR time. As far as the party, we are there for rides and the parade! The characters and candy are sort of on the backburner. We definitely love seeing them but don't spend time in line for a picture/meet and greet! We've already done that once and that was good for us :)

Really?! Havent heard much about skipper canteen except for the months after it opened and the reviews were pretty awful. It sounds like it changed for the better!

That or we caught them on a good day. Yeah we did LTT on our first party night and were really underwhelmed. Which was sad because I remembered it being a lot better. But second party we did we ate at Skipper Canteen it was delicious! The fried chicken was seasoned right and falling off the bone. And the pork was great!

YUM!!!

I would cancel for two reasons. (1) I don't understand how Liberty Tree can charge the prices they do with no characters and no choice of entrees, and (2) 4:05 is a terrible time because it means that not only are you eating so early you'll be hungry again by the end of the party, more importantly, you will miss out on the ability to make fastpasses between 4 and 6.

We did LTT our last trip and enjoyed it. I was surprised how busy they were at 4 pm on a party night (must be a lot of others with the same idea) and we waited 20 minutes to get seated.
The food was very good, comfort food.

Its all you can eat so the pricing is on par with other AYCTE and buffet locations. Also, generally people book this place knowing the fare. If they don't want a turkey dinner, probably not a good idea to make a dinner reservation there.

My daughter really wanted to go, so we did! It was delicious, a ton of food as expected and we were full the rest of the night. I would totally recommend it before a party as long as the reservation is timed right.

Just did this before MNSSHP on 10/10 - myself and 3 teen girls. LTT reservation was at 5:30. We had MNSSHP tickets and fastpasses for Haunted Mansion from 3:30-4:30 and Pirates from 4:30-5:30. We were at the park gates at 3:45 and were at HM by 4:05 (and I'm a slow walker). We rode Haunted Mansion, then Pirates, then went to LTT for our 5:30 reservation. We were done and out before the 7PM party kickoff. We've been to LTT several times and teens loved the dinner as they always do. What I love is no hashing around about what to order. You just show up and the food comes. We ate a good meal of salad, rolls, pot roast/pork/turkey with green beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese. Kids ate a bit of dessert. No one stuffed themselves uncontrollably. We stayed at the party until it closed. No one "got hungry" during the party. My teens love LTT and I feel it's an easy, reliable dinner and a good value. Character meals are much more expensive. I like the look of Skipper Canteen menu, but my teens do not. I've also read complaints of slow service on TripAdvisor, but can't personally attest to that. As such, I've stuck with LTT as the old-reliable that I know is quick, efficient, and a solid choice for my teens. I also happen to like being in Liberty Square near Haunted Mansion when MNSSHP kicks off.

We do it every year before the Christmas party- after we over stuff ourselves, we waddle to some of the slow rides or meet and greets. We find we don't need a later meal and just eat cookies and treats. Not sure if you can eat just candy, but you'll probably only need light snacking to make it until the end of the party.
