I am currently trying to plan our April trip. We want to eat at the Liberty tree tavern for dinner. I have a very picky eater. Is it possible to ask them to make her the pizza off the lunch menu at dinner? If they will not do it we can not eat there for the Charecter Dinner. Has anyone tryed this before? Will they do it? Do I have to call in advace to order it?

Thanks for any advice.

You can ask and all they can say is no... they use to discuss dietary concerns if you had a special case, I have not seen that lately. I am not sure who you would call.....Disney dining or the restaurant... let us know how you make out with this request.

We took our picky son to LTT and the server offered to get my son some fries since he wasn't eating what was on the table.

We are totally skipping LTT because I know my dd and there wasn't anything on the menu she would eat.

The ONLY thing my youngest son will eat at the MK are the McDonald's French Fries. So....I stood in line to get him his fries while the rest of the family was seated. I brought the fries in with me, and we all ate dinner.

The LTT is by far, the BEST meal in the MK.

Enjoy.

I was going to ask LTT to make my son pizza at dinner also. We will be at the MK that day, so I will stop in and ask them if that is possible. If they say no, I will go to Pinocchio's Village Haus (near Small World) and get him a pizza to go and have him eat it while we are there. I don't know why they would say no since I'm sure it's just a frozen pizza they have to throw in the oven. Linda

In my opinion if you know your child isn't going to eat anything off that menu and you know the only thing he will eat is pizza then you should bring a pizza with you instead of making an already busy place go out of their way to make something for you. At some places like Ohanas it's not such a big deal because the restaraunt is right next door( and I believe I read somewhere tehy possibly share a kitchen??) Not trying to sound crabby but it's your child who has the issue with the menu, not the restaraunts.

If you were talking about Narcoosees or California Grill, I'd say you probably can get something for your child to eat if you requested it. But LTT has the simplest menu of any restaurant at the resort. Just plain ham, just plain turkey meat, just plain beef, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, etc. I'd say you are in worse shape than me with a picky eater for a kid.

Do you totally skip ALL table service restaurants with kids that picky? Glad it is you and not me. :scared:

When we were at LTT a few weeks ago, our server did ask us if we had any "dietary concerns." We didn't, so we ate what was served (it was very yummy). But, they did ask, so it sounds like they may be able to accomodate different diets. However, that may mean that they have an all vegetarian option or a substitute for the ham available or something like that. I'm not sure really.

Just to be on the safe side, you could just get a pizza for your DD before you arrive like others have suggested. :)

Dd loves pasta, pizza, vegetables, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, etc. She just doesn't like meat, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese that isn't Kraft:rolleyes:

I just check the menus of the restaurants before calling for ADRs. I looked at LTT's and she wouldn't like their choices so we avoid it, but we have other TS meals that their menus definitely have options for her.

We are opting for Crystal Palace for our TS at MK... buffets work great w/ picky eaters! I can deal with working around my 6 year olds dining preferences. She won't be picky forever...and I want her to be happy and actually eat while we are on vacation!

1) Great idea!
2) After all, it is probably the parents who allowed the picky eating to evolve.
3) Obviously, this excludes picky eating due to disease (and there are some).

My son has several food allergies, and we were given phone numbers to each restaurant that we've booked our ADR's. I'll bet that if you call in advance (you can get the number Disney Dining) they'd be able to answer the pizza question.

Sometimes when my kids are acting "picky," I realize that they are probably not really all that hungry. When they're hungry, they'll eat just about anything I put in front of them. I'm guessing they'll have pretty good appetites after walking around Disney World all day.
