We will be at the MK the day of the party as well. All I was able to find for a late lunch/early dinner was LTT at 2:25 or GF at 5:10. Thinking that GF would give us a nice break out of the park and we could see the gingerbread house in the lobby. We've never eaten at LTT for lunch but have heard that it is very good. My two older boys have just studied the colonial period and would likely find it interesting. If we eat at LTT, we will still have to eat a CS dinner during the party vs just snacking if we eat the later dinner. What would you do?

Yikes, thats a tough one! the lunch at liberty tree is pretty amazing. On the other hand it would be nice to have a break and check out GF. It depends on your family and what you like to do. Personally i would rather stay in the park and do liberty tree. Love their food btw. yum!

On party nights it's rough getting back into the park. In all my times they let the party goers come in starting at 4 pm even though the party starts at 7 pm. They are herded towards Fantasyland. You could run into the beginning of that crowd coming back and it's a zoo.

With Liberty Tree Tavern you would be in the back of the park; that's the best place to be when the party begins. Why give that advantage up?

I believe if you want to enjoy the party I don't see the sense of wearing yourself out with this commute. I don't find that relaxing. It's a late night doing the party well; so, stay put. Take your meal real slow at LTT and get a rest that way. I wouldn't rush out; because, you have the 3 pm parade happening while you are eating. When done with your meal do something relaxing like taking in the Hall of President show or the Riverboat ride or both that's near by. This will let your tum-tums have a chance to digest their meal. Don't forget to get your wristbands for the party or whatever they use for it. There are different locations throughout the park to do it.

The party gives you cookies, cocoa, and fruit (probably apples) to enjoy included in your ticket. To me, that's enough to snack on. Make it clear at late lunch, early dinner at LLT that this is the main event of the day for eating.

A few snacks will be ok if you want them, too. I think there's a place where you can get soup as a snack credit in MK. That might feel good as the night gets colder and colder.

I've done the party many different ways myself through the years and I wouldn't leave the park.

Don't waste party time on TS meals. Grab a quick CS meal for dinner or just snack on smaller items throughout the night. You're at the party to take advantage of the party-specific shows, etc. Don't miss those because you are in the GFC or on a boat or stuck in the entrance line again.

LTT has a great lunch and is a fun setting. You could still leave the park to go tour the hotels after lunch and get away a little but you'll be back before the party and able to enjoy the party more.

What about LTT dinner??? we are thinking of eating there in feb so we can stay for wishes.... Or leave wishes and have a 9:15 at Ohana?? any suggestions

We did GFC at 5 on a MNSSHP night. We felt like we rushed through the meal so we could get to the party. The experience was not what it was on a night last year with no plans after. I'd do LTT, although I'd rather have dinner there.

I would take LLT and then keep checking back for a later time to open up. We had a 5:30 at LTT before the party and it was perfect. Trying to get into the party at 7:00 will be crazy busy! A big meal at 2:30ish, would be enough to allow some fun snacking during the party!

This is what we are doing on our MVMCP night we have a 2:50pm ADR at LTT. I want to be in the park before the crowds start to come in. If we get hungry we will grab something quick to eat while waiting on the parade to start. So my pick is LTT.

With the GF Cafe a 5pm ADR would be pushing it close to the start of the party. What if they don't seat you right away, there is a problem with the transportation, or you get out later and face a huge crowd trying to get into the park?

I guess I'll be the alternate opinion here! :goodvibes

To the OP, your thinking was almost exactly parallel to mine...I wanted a break from the MK(we'll be there all day) and we really wanted a chance to see the Gingerbread house and GF decked out for Christmas.

Yesterday I booked GF cafe for 5:15 on 11/11 before the MVMCP. We have been to the party before three times, our last being three years ago. I have never felt rushed to get through the crowd there. We always skip the early parade and get our hot cocoa and ride stuff during that time. Yes, there will be alot of people as you go into the park, but it's never really bothered us once we get past main street.

We aren't really the types to "rush and ride" though. It really depends whether you are interested in getting the back of the park early. As far as food goes, I really liked LTT. :)
