I have booked Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner in Jan. After reading some posts I am not sure now if we should go for lunch or dinner. Any suggestions? :confused3

Lunch and dinner at LTT are two different experiences. Dinner is a character meal - lunch is not. Lunch is served off the menu, dinner is served family style. Depends on your 'taste'. We think the food is a little better at lunchtime, but a lot of folks here prefer the character meal at dinner.

I have to say we HATED LTT! We ate there at lunch, and the food was way too heavy for our tastes (turkey and dressing when it is 99 degrees out?!). I know we are in the minority, though, as so many people seem to love it.

Our family LOVES LTT for lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have always eaten there at lunch, though. For this upcoming trip we decided to try it for dinner because of the character meal. I am a bit nervous about it because I have read mixed reviews. However, we want to try something different. Plus we figured if they do such a great job at lunch surely they can't mess up dinner. The characters will just be an extra magical bonus!
BTW, my favorite dish is the pot roast at lunch. It is soooooooo yummy!!!!!!

We ate there last Christmas Eve for dinner & loved it. The food was great & the characters were wonderful. Later in the week we ate there for lunch. It was really good. We have reservations for Christmas Eve dinner again. I would like to go back for lunch to order the pot roast. It looked so good! :moped: princess:

Wd ate dinner at LTT for MVMCP in 2005 and really enjoyed it! The food is fine, not the greatest, so go for the character experience. We'd do it again.

Lunch at LTT is the BEST! Their food is delicious, you can order what you want, and not have to deal with characters coming around. LTT also has selections, such as the pot roast (scrumptious), that would be wonderful in cool January.

You don't have to eat heavy at LTT. We usually have the salad and one of the sandwiches. I like to bring DH there to get him out of the Magic Kingdom madness before he breaks out in hives. LTT is a nice, (relatively) quiet, place to take a lunch break in the MK.

We love dinner at LTT. The food is good and the character interaction is great!

I love LTT for lunch and dinner :cool1: But if I had to pick one I would say dinner. The characters are great

:thumbsup2 We've eaten at LTT for dinner several times and each experience was good. The food, service and atmosphere was great!

We just had dinner there a week or so ago. The character interaction was great. But IMO the food was just ok. The rolls were a bit hard and flavorless and the salad dressing was also bland as was most everything else. The meats WERE good, but that was it. The dessert was good but nothing to write home about.

IMO it's decent but boring tummy filling food, and I wouldn't hurry back for dinner. The lunch menu sounds more exciting to me so I would be willing to try that.

Lunch and dinner are very very different.

We love lunch at LTT. The menu is fantastic and the food is delicious.
No characters.

If you choose dinner, the food is mediocre, we used to take the kids when they were little, lol, many many many years ago as it was one of the few character meals way back then. It is fine, just not as good as lunch.

So, you have to decide. Really good food or mediocre food with characters.

I reccomend going to LTT for lunch because they have so many different varieties and they still have most of the stuff from dinner.

Thank you for all the great input. I changed our reservation to lunch. My kids are too old for the characters and the lunch menu sounded better. :thumbsup2

You won't be sorry. Lunch at LTT is my new favorite TS meal. Everything I've eaten there is fantastic, especially the appetizer crabcake and the desserts. You absolutey must save room for one of their scrumptious homemade (or tastes like homemade) desserts - they even have their own ice cream - the cherry flavor is particularly good.

We had dinner here on the 7th July, and was very impressed , and would recommend it , the food was good and the ineraction from the characters was excellent.

We loved LTT for lunch. It is our first ADR for our December trip!

We love LTT for lunch. We've never tried dinner there basically because no one in our group wants to give up our lunch there each trip. We pretty much have pot roast all around. We already have our ressie for November for lunch at LTT!
