Any ideas if they are going to bring characters back? We love it the character interaction there, especially in their period costumes. We are going 8/29-9/7...

Hi,

Until and unless Disney announces that characters will return to LTT, I'm afraid the answer is no.

A couple of months ago there were rumors flying around here (started on another website famous for starting rumors) that characters would be back by Easter, but you can see how accurate that was!

I had heard in a couple of places that they were looking into returning characters, but don't know where the original source for that is. I'd love it if they would.

If I close my eyes and wish real hard.. Maybee they might come back by sept.:goodvibes I can only hope.

Jim Hill speculates they are coming back, But he also claims Disney is building Beastly Kingdom, Night Kingdom and every other kingdom...he is not exactly accurate with his predictions:rolleyes:

That was one of our favorite character dining.:sad1:
We do character dining only (except for sci-fi) so we
probably will not be back until the characters come back.

I love the characters there too, and it was my favorite character meal.

I can understand why they removed the characters though. The last time we were there, we were watching some elderly folks having dinner, and constantly being interuppted by the characters. They were polite and acknowledged the characters, but they also looked like they wanted to just be left alone, which I can understand. It's a nice meal, and it's not cheap, and not everyone wants to have characters around. It must be hard for Disney to make everyone happy, because we, as parents, want our kids to be happy, but those without kids, would like to have a nice adult vacation. Irregardless who Disney tries to make happy, there will always be those who they will make unhappy.

1) I am not sure this is a good argument.
2) It is not a case of making people unhappy.
3) LOTS OF US like a non-character meal INSIDE the parks.
4) I think we should have a place to eat without characters and kids running around.
5) MK did not have a decent sit-down eatery until LTT went non-character.
6) If folks want characters, there is CP, CRT and Tony's.

NOTE: We frequently do character meals, so this is not an anti-character sentiment. It is just that one does not need all-character-all-the-time meals inside of MK.

I did not know that Tony's was a Character meal. I thought only for GG.:confused3

Since when is Tony's a character meal ?!

I agree that there was a need for another non-character meal in MK. The Plaza & Tony's don't seem to be cutting it.

However.... LTT had some of the best character interaction on property. I don't understand why, if the main goal was to offer a non-character dinner in MK, they didn't simply take off the characters at Crystal Palace for dinner instead of robbing MK of its only non-princess, non-toddler character meal.

IMO it had nothing to do with pleasing guests who wanted a meal without characters, it was just yet another budget cut. The food quality at LTT is mediocre - my favorite meal on property and that is NOT a good thing considering I'd pick a kids CS meal over Narcoosee's any day. :crazy2:

I agree - Until Disney says so, I wouldn't hold my breath.
