It's undergoing a refurb at least until 11/20/15. As that date gets closer we should know more about when it's officially going to re-open, but it will eventually re-open for sure.

It hasn't been a character meal for years now. They are mainly redoing the kitchen, because it will be shared with the new Skipper Canteen restaurant in Adventureland. They may refurb the main part of the restaurant too. There are no rumors about it changing though.

Anyone have any idea when the reservations for booking will open up for Liberty Tree or this new Skipper Canteen? I would really like to get a TS res for either. A party of 9 people in MK for Dinner is getting difficult. We will be there 11/25 - 12/1
