Liberty Square Tavern and Tony's

How are Liberty Square Tavern and Tony's?

1) You mean, LTT and Chef-Boy-R-Dee ?
2) LTT
. . . lunch is ala carte
. . . dinner is family style
. . . both are above average
3) Tony's
. . . marinara sauce like Ragu from a jar
. . . unevenly cooked pasta, could be al dente to starchy
. . . deserves the bad rap it gets

We took the family to LTT for dinner before MVMCP last year.....we loved all the food, even the "Stouffers" Mac & Cheese (so sue me, I ilke Stouffers! :rotfl: ) The Turkey was great (some complain that it's "dry", but nothing a little gravy won't solve! And the carved beef was excellent! It's like Thanksgiving dinner on steroids.

We are probably in the minority. We have been to LTT many times and like it fine but this past November went to Tony's and I really enjoyed it.

I got a flatbread (aka think pizza) that was really, really good. Also got the pistachio creme brulee and LOVED it! I would definitely go back and I'm sure it helped that we got a table outside to watch the parade along with excellent wait service.

I had heard so much bad about this restaurant but revised my opinion after eating here. My family thought it was all ok and wished they had gotten a pizza like me :).

LTT is ok but bland ordinary food. I'm the type that likes a bit more than basic pot roast. It reminds me of visiting the mid-west where its a lot of meat & potatoes and spices are mostly salt and pepper! For many LTT is just fine, its good basic food.

We've had great service and food every time at Tony's. It's certainly not upscale Italian, just your basic stuff but always good.

We really do not care for dining overall at MK and instead usually take the boat over to Konas, Ohana's or perhaps The Wave.

I think to each his/her own when it comes to Disney dining, and you really should go with what your family likes. I'd check out the menus at wdwinfo. Our best food experience was at Via Napoli and best SERVICE was at Tony's.....our server at Tony's was so nice and extremely busy, yet our drinks were always full and she always had a smile on her face. Tony's had good Olive Garden-ish food; however, it was not Il Mulino like over at the Swan---but you can tell that from just comparing the menus of these two places!!! I don't think a ritzy fancy Italian restaurant would be good for inside the theme park that caters the most to younger kids and kids at heart. So best wishes, and again, I'd go with the menus and your family's taste. For example, I'd rather have an ice cream sundae for dessert vs. a fancy mousse or brulee'.

LTT is defs as amazing as everyone is making it sound :) It was absolutely delicious, and we were STUFFED afterwards.

I personally loved Tony's, and would go back again in a minute. That being said, I come from a family of bland eaters (and have a sensitivie stomache), so it was perfect for me. I had spaghetti and meatballs and it was exactly what you would expect spaghetti to be, which made me happy. I can see why, if you went expecting a special meal, you might be disappointed, but I think (as for most eateries) you just have to go in knowing what to expect. :)
