With LTT changing to no characters , are they going to continue the family style dinner? Does anyone know?

I remember reading on here that someone went there recently and it was the same. Really disappointed they did away with the characters as this was one of our favorite meals in November.

Everything is exactly the same, same food, same price, just no characters.

I have sent an email to Walt Disney World to let them know that I would really like to have the characters back at the Liberty Tree Tavern. I wonder if Disney will listen if enough people tell them how much they miss the characters?

Does anyone know why they got rid of the Characters...They seem to be a big draw.

We ate there last year, the food was so so, a little dry. The Characters made it fun.

I would not go back now!!!

From what I've heard, too many guests were asking for more dining locations with NO characters.

That's good to hear things are the same food wise.As for the characters I really wish they would have taken away from some where else but that is just my opinion

We ate at LTT every visit! We absoutely LOVE the food here, and the character experience just made it that much more great. However, my kids are still pretty young and character meals are important for us, so...unfortunately we will not be eating here this year.

When I call before we leave on 2/11 to confirm all my ADR's, I was thinking about asking if they have had many people request to have the characters back at this location. If they tell me that they have had an overwhelming amount of these requests, maybe we can all send in our requests? It just might work!

WE did LTT on our last trip in Oct and the food was ok. The chara interaction made it worth it though. I doubt I'll be back for dinner without the characters, BUT I would go back for lunch. We ate lunch there back in 06 and it was GOOD. We didn't do lunch there this trip, but next one it's on the list!

It will be interesting to see how well this place does now that the characters have left. IMHO, the food was just OK and you were really paying a premium for having the characters at night. Without the characters, I'm not sure this is a good deal any more.

We probably won't go back now either. I didn't mind the food and my kids were eating something other than french fries so I liked that too!

We liked the food there, and while I'm planning, that will be onr of the top 5 on my ADR list. Thanks for your help. I just wanted to verify the "Thanksgiving type" meal my husband loved so much.

It is too bad about the characters, though. That was our only character meal where I felt the characters made the place. IMO, they could get rid of the characters at CP--it makes the place too busy!
