i don't know if this is making the rounds in the mainstream media. but i've seen it so far at several outlets. God help us all.

Al-Qaeda Spokesman to Muslims: Leave United States Immediately

An ominous warning has apparently been issued by Abu Dawood, reported al Qaeda leader in Afghanistan. According to him, another massive attack upon the U.S. is in its final stages of planning, and is about to be commenced.


The leader specified that Muslims living around the New York and Washington area should leave immediately. This proposed attack has been dubbed the "American Hiroshima", an apparent reference to the 1945 American nuclear attack on Japan.


He continued to say that Americans will be receiving a recorded message from Osama bin Laden, which is being referred to as a "final" message. It is unknown whether Dawood's claims are credible, or the actual extent of his connections with bin Laden

So far, this cell hasn't proven to be entirely efficient - attacks on our home turf seem rare to say the least.

I haven't seen any press conferences from the Bush Admin raising the terror threat or even mentioning this either... Hmmm.... Are they unaware of the danger?

they did nothing after 911 domestically. the borders are wide open, the country was not mobilized. i hope we can recover from this total nightmare.

Unaware or ignoring it? Though I have to wonder the credibility of the threat that they are mentioning specific areas. Unless they've done that in the past and that was not released to the public to avoid a public panic.

Who knows, we leave for Disney in a week, with or without helmets on!!

Edited to add that I totally agree with you about the dangers the borders pose etc. We are FAR from secure in this country. I wish we would spend more time securing things here.

First of all, this is a Louie post - if you've read his past stuff you know exactly how much credibility to give it.

Second, Louie got this from Wingnutdaily which routinely publishes stories about horrible thing Arabs/Mexicans/etc. are going to do to the US. Sleeper cells, massive attacks, smuggled nukes, that sort of thing. About a month ago they were pretty much guaranteeing a nuclear strike from Iran on August 22. As with every other one of these predictions they've made, it didn't come true. So they were due for another scare story right about now.

Inspirational site if you are the type to believe in imminent nuclear attacks, that Saddam really did have WMD, that Saddam really was behind 9/11, that Saddam really was behind the Oklahoma City bombing, Bigfoot, etc.

Darn humorous site for the rest of us.
