So i have a quote from Lanksy for $160 for round trip transportation to and from the airport. We usually rent a car but the cost of that plus parking and driving will be much more. I do need a booster which is something they provide.

Any other reliable companies that provide booster or bus that do not require one that i can check out?

We are flying in to LGB around 4:30 pm. Two adults, two kids ages 9 and 6. We will each have one carry on.

Is uber a reliable source during the holidays? We are heading back on the 31st of December at around 3:30pm. I use uber when i travel but have not used during busy times.

Did you know that you can carry on your own butt booster and it doesn’t count as luggage? Can’t sit on it on the plane, but it can go in the overhead or under the seat in front of you. Then you could do uber or lyft for a lot less money and not have to request a booster.

If you get one of those bubble boosters, taxis are $45 flat rate and there are shuttles out front that we have taken for $40. (tips extra)

Thanks.DD does not need a booster so we don't worry about when we fly or rent a car/uber but we will have our niece who is almost 7. I rather not carry a booster around because i will probably forget it somewhere anyways. We only fly with carry on to limit the things we need.

I know at SNA they have Disneyland Express, which i guess is not getting very good reviews, does LGB have any service like that? or is it just uber/taxi, supper shuttle?

We used Uber 2 weeks ago from LGB, 4 of us to the Camelot inn and it was $28.00. They pick you up right in front of the Airport there's a middle island they use.

We just used Lyft from LGB on Sunday (to Desert Inn & Suites and back to LGB yesterday). It was about $30 each way. Very easy and a much more enjoyable experience than our trip last trip (SuperShuttle to LAX).

We took Uber from LGB, and it was about $30 each way. I would be concerned about surge pricing on Dec. 31st though, as it's NYE. 4:30 is probably fine, but as the evening goes on, I bet it's harder to get a ride and the rides become more expensive. (Just a hunch--I only use uber when traveling because my town bans it, so I'm not really clear on how holidays or busy times work)

Correct, there's not a shuttle service like DLRE where it's a big bus that doesn't need seats. Uber Family our whatever it's called isn't in the area either, so no carseats/booster seats provided. Really, for a difference of $100 round trip, Is but a $15 no-back booster. They weigh like 5 pounds, and the 6 year old can easily carry it. Or you caneasily bungee cord it to the top of someone's carryon. Yes, it's another thing to remember, but to save $100, I'd be willing to deal with the hassle!
