My son wrote this for one of the troops in the middle east:

Dear Soldier,

Do you want a cd? I have enclosed one for you to listen to. I hope you like my selections.

My name is Gregory and I am 7 years old. I go to St. Lawrence School in Shelton, CT. I am in the 1st grade. I like Library, Math and Recess. My favorite sport is hockey. I play in three hockey teams this spring. I am really good (left wing, forward). I score a lot of goals.

I am very proud that you are where you are. Although it is far away, and you miss your friends and family, I know in my heart you are doing a great thing for all of us and our country. We love you for your courage, bravery and love for your country.

We love you.

Please let me know (if you can) what type of music you like. I will make you more cds. I have all kinds of music.

Come back so you can visit us.

God Bless You and all the men and woman in your troop.

Gregory

You should be very proud of your young man.

Wow!

That is just the sweetest thing! That will make that soldier's day!

What a wonderful letter. How articulate your son is, I'll bet the service person who receives that smiles.

That is a really sweet letter. And as someone else said, your son is very articulate. I think this letter will charm any service person that receives it.
