Let's Talk Treats!

MK--One more vote for Dole Whip!!
EPCOT--wine tasting in France/lots of great pastries all over the park
AK-Mickey ice cream bar, sitting in the tiny little hut that is at the water's edge in Asia, also the onion rings at Flame Tree
MGM--Nestle Toll House ice cream sandwich.

Marbleso-My DH had one last summer and had fun with it. He also tried the Pocky candy in Japan and LOVED it!

On the prowl for new treats next trip so reading this thread has been fun!

My favs: DOLE WHIP! Popcorn anywhere - the smell just makes me drool! Pumpkin flavored fudge around Halloween and Christmas...if you like pumpkin bars or pie, this is a must try! I, too, have fallen in love with the frozen banana...what a tasty, lo-cal, and refreshing treat!

:( We used to love beaver tails!

What, specifically, differs Kaki Gori from a regular snow cone? Or, is it just the magic of having a snow cone in Disney what makes it extra special? Nothing wrong with that of course!

I love the schoolbread from the norway bakery in epcot, yummm
I also love churros but not that excited about them since i can get them anywhere here in miami

Just about all of the desserts from the pastery shop in France and Boma at AKL are my favorite treats.

A mickey rice krispy treat, a soft pretzel in Germany at Epcot, a strawberry bar, and cotton candy! yum yum!! :goodvibes

A constant supply of ice cream from the main street ice cream shoppe...although I liked the sealtest ice cream better. At EPCOT it would be funnel cakes in America, or champagne in France, MGM hmmmm we are usually only there for breakfast and last time we discovered the bagel with smoked salmon at starring rolls...had to be a half pound of salmon it was soooo good!!! I haven't been to AK in years.

Let me be a DIS cliche and go with the oft mentioned Dole Whip at Aloha Isle at MK. I tried it our last trip and it is all that! :thumbsup2

The Kaki Gori is very large and made with very, very finely shaved ice, unlike the coarse ice of a snow cone). It just melts as soon as it hits your tongue. Also it doesn't seem to be as sticky sweet as a snow cone. They'll do a rainbow, but personally I just love the melon flavor.

My favorites are:

Dole Whip Float
Donalds Orange Juice Bar
Minnies Strawberry Bar
Ice Cream from the Main St. Shop
Casey's Hot Dog
Pretzel from Germany at Epcot
Strawberry Smoothie from Fountainview Cafe
Goofy's Glaciers slushies
Used to love Beaver Tails in Canada

Mickey rice krispie treats with chocolate on the ears - you can get them at a lot of places like candy store on Main Street at MK, Boarwalk Bakery, many food courts, etc.

My two favorites on the last two trips were the frozen bananas and the Dole Whip. The ice cream bar is okay, but almost too rich for my taste.:) I know...heresy! :teeth: But, I'm a skim milk person, now a whole milk person, and I actally prefer ice milk bars instead of ice cream bars.
But, I found the Dole whip was just right on a hot day! It wasn't too sweet and had just the right amount of bite to it, to cool you down. Yummm. Even got my DH to like it.:)

MK- Caramel corn in Liberty Square esp. when it's still warm!!!!! Of course a Dole Whip.

Epcot- anything in France, Kaki Gori (rainbow flavor), sigh....the flan they use to have in Mexico.

Nestle tollhouse cookie ice cream any where.

Poly- The bread pudding (I've made it at home and it's almost as good)
Pop- Twinkie tiramisu (I've made this at home too and it's good!!!)
