Last time I rented in WDW (2011) they offered ez pass kinda deal at the counter. Seemed pretty expensive as I recall. For 9 days, probably only leaving property twice maximum, what am I looking at in tolls combining this with to and from aiport? And those with more rental can experience, which route do you go? Thanks.

I get some ones and a roll of quarters, I take the toll ramps, and forget about the rental car tollpasses. Costs a few bucks.

I take the south exit from MCO and get on 417 if going to WDW. I go north and get on 528 if going to Universal.

I purchased my own portable SunPass transponder and take it with me for rental car use. It will be particularly helpful next week as I've decided to add a side trip to the Kennedy Space Center. At the same time, I very seldom see any kind of line in the Cash lane(s) so that option is also pretty solid.

Good move. We bought our portable SunPass transponder a couple of years before we moved to FL because we knew we would be making many trips over toll roads. However, in our time here we have seen long lines at cash lanes. No, its not common but it does happen occasionally.
