Lets talk shoes...what do you wear in the parks?

i would switch to boat shoes for the wet rides. if you kayak or canoe or just do boating, many wear them.
they are perfect.


do like the other posters said and bring a bag to store your everyday shoes/socks while on the water rides.

For my last trip I wore my nike's the first day...and got blisters all over my toes (I guess I stepped on my own toes all day)! I switched to croc flip flops for the next 7 days, and kept applying the body glide on the blisters which allowed my toes to slide past each other as I stepped. I put the blister bandaids on the bad ones (these are expensive but totally worth it). I had no more problems after the first day, and the blisters were even gone by the end of the trip! There are some really cute croc flip flops for kids that I'm going to get for DD6 for our June trip.

Wow, Crocs should pay me for this endorsement!

i use stuff avon makes = cheaper , they have one for body parts (chafing) & thicker one (paste like) for feet

have heard tell that any gel stick deoderant will do the trick? guess ur feet'd smell good too ; wonder if it's true or not?

i just hate dragging anything bigger than a wallet bag into the parks, so nice to chuck the diaper bag years ago

wee one- crocs/veggies (crocs are a daily thing with him anyway)

We wear ECCO sport sandals!! The are soooo comfy, waterproof, and have adjustable straps in three pressure point spots. I've never had a blister, no matter how much I've walked, or gotten them soaked!

These are the absolue best flip flops for park wear I have ever found, including Crocs. They dry quickly and they don't make my feet hurt at all. They are kinda hard which would make you think they would not be comfortable, but they are really great.
