Let's talk pool bar drinks!

Where and what are your favorites?

I'm especially interested in anything at the Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge, or Grand Floridian since we are spending several days at each of those on our December trip! Any reccomendations? My mom prefers something so fruity or sweet that it totally hides all hint of any alcholholic content.

My current favorite pool bar drink is the Nyami Nyami at Animal Kingdom Lodge!! It is a frozen drink with Amarulla, Creme De Banana, vanilla, milk and crushed ice---DELICIOUS!!! We loved them so much, we bought a huge bottle of Amarula from the Mara. That stuff is amazing. It's the yummiest stuff I've ever had! It's similar to Bailey's, but much better! It's made from the South African Marula fruit. Our guide for the culinary tour at the AKL said they call it the elephant fruit, because the elephants love to eat the Marula fruit off the trees and then it firments in their stomachs and they actually get drunk off it.

Victoria Falls Mist at AKL. I'm not sure what's in it but I would assume Midori and some kind of pineapple liquour (sp?). Yummy and pretty!

My fav is pretty boring.... a cold corona with a lime, but DH who loves coronas swore by the frozed margarhitas at Leaping Horse Libations (BWI). The barkeeps are really nice there too!

Banana Cabana at CBR is GOOD. It's Creme Brulee (sp?), light rum, pineapple juice and something else, fozen like an icee. Freezes your throat however so sip slow

We had a Blackberry Margarita at WL that was good. It was their drink of the day. on the rock in a sipper cup to keep.

Never met a margarita I didn't like. I'm so predictable. Whatever margarita they have, I get.

im a beer man myself but DW swears by something called a "mississippi mudslide" at POR , not sure whats in it but it looks a bit to brown and sweet for my taste.

The Lava Flow at Barefoot Pool Bar at Poly while listening to the tropical music and gazing over the lake. I don't like sweet but these are yum!! (beware grumpy bartender though).

We were terribly disappointed with the bloody mary at the Boardwalk lounge.

Would also like to know of a good Yacht Club drink!

I think the name of the drink I get at the pool at Yacht and Beach is called a bay smash. Has quite a KICK to it!!!

By far the best pool bar drink is the Bay Smash at Hurricane Hannah's at SAB at the BC/YC. A little Tequila floats on the top. Delicious! Great for near the end of your trip, once all has gone well and everything has "come together". My DH and I enjoyed one this summer near the end of our wonderful "Grand Gathering" with 3 sons and their girlfriends.

Kicking back at the Volcano pool with a frozen Rum Runner does it for me.
