Lets talk points

I love my dvc just had a great 11 day trip at SSR on developer points. Cannot wait for AKV. I joined DVC 1 year ago and wish I did 7 years ago when I first looked into it. All that aside I cannot believe the amount of points needed to stay at GC or BLT.
Almost 400 points to stay in a 1 bedroom at GC Magic season. Oh my head.530 for a 2 bedroom . Can't wait to see Hawaii Guessing 1000. When I bought I noticed slight increases as resorts were built through the years great, no big deal. But they are going a little out of control. I just want to see if anyone else feels this way. Maybe I should just man-up and add on 800 more points. I'm not venting just in awe. like to get my fellow DVCers thoughts.

When we first heard rumors about BLT and VGC, they were both so desirable for their own reasons, that some people thought that the price per point for those two would be much higher than the others -- there was talk of $125-150 per point. I think the way they've done it is smarter: effectively, all points cost the same at a given time, but no matter what points you own, you're going to pay a lot of them to stay at the higher-demand resorts. (Subject, of course, to the 11/7 month windows.)
