Let's talk Hybrids

I had a Prius for a while and loved it. My big dogs didn’t fit so I got a used Lexus hybrid SUV. It was ok but I didn’t love it.

How big are those dogs? I fit a kayak in my old Prius; I used to call it my Prius pickup. (The new Prime battery is larger and I don't have nearly as much cargo room.)

I ended up getting a gas engine Camry. The Hybrids in my price range were nearly double the miles. Maybe next time...

Here's a pretty nice plug-in hybrid. They claim about 61 MPG although I'm not sure how it works since it's a plug-in hybrid that I think should have an eMPG rating. I would of course get a left hand drive version.

I don't know about your areas of the country but hybrids are in high demand in NCAL. They are insanely over priced. There are about 10 toyota dealers within 2 hours of me and ALL but 1 have insane mark ups. Up to 10k. So I've been on a waiting list for 3 months and may still be waiting additional months. I'm waiting on a Camry Hybrid LE. I've also looked at used hybrids, and those are priced higher than new sometimes. It's such a crazy market.
