Ok first let me mention that I am not a big drinker but I am looking for the name of the beer that we bought in Epcot in Germany. It was from that outside stand in the squar. I dont know what it was called but it had an almost honey taste to it. I would love to look for some here but dont even know that name. Thank you for your time. :confused3

The only beer I've had outside of Germany, besides Oktoberfest, is Beck's Beer. I wouldn't say it has a honey taste.

I believe that they have Lowenbrau and Hefeweizen (a German Wheat Beer). With all the beers that Germany has to offer, the choices are minimal. :)

Doodlebug939, I am with you.

Lets talk beer.

We will be there in March and was wondering if anyone knows if they have Tennents Lager at the Rose & Crown Pub.

Thanks and Cheers

Rose & Crown has the following:

Ales, Lagers, and Stouts
Bass Ale, Boddingtons English Pub Ale, Harp Lager, Stella Artois, Tennents, Strongbow Cider, and Guinness Stout
Souvenir Half Yard $11.55
Imperial Sampler $9.50
Half Yard Refill $7.25
Imperial Pint $7.00

I had the same beer and it was great. It was the Hefeweizen.

Couldn't have been the Lowenbrau, so it must have been a Heffeweizen. Tho I don't think it has any actual honey flavoring (as Dundee Honey Brown, for example).
At least it's a step up from Becks!!

Thank you all for your post. I stand corrected my husband said that it didnt have a honey taste to it. Must have had one too many. :rotfl:

I am going to try to find that beer here in New Orleans and see what happens. Thanks again. :grouphug:

Anbody know if Ringes (spelling) is still sold at Norway? I had read on a different thread that the contract had expired and was not renewed.

I was at Epcot in December & I think they have a whole new beer selection in Germany. Used to be Becks & Lowenbrau but now I think I got a Stiegl (I could be wrong, I know I was a good German beer and not Haufbrau). Inside the Biergarten there seemed to be even more of a choice.

Stiff: I agree!!
Musicmom:
Ringnes is gone. They now "offer" Carlsburg--from the same company that brought us Tuborg.
No more need be said---
