Let's talk about Jambo House

We need a DVC room for Feb 13, 2011 just one night. We called MS and just about everything is open. We have 24 points left, and are willing to buy a few extra if we need to. MS said Jambo House would be a good bet, as we can get a "value" 1 bedroom room for 23 points with either Savanah or Pool view. Have you done this, or should we try for something else?

We've stayed at VWL, SSR, and we'll be at BLT before the cruise.

Any ideas are welcome!

It will be a savanna, pool or parking lot view with the value.

I would grab it in an instant. Great deal with the low points. We've done a Value one bedroom twice and got the Savanna view both times.

Also, the Values are situated close the lobby (fifth floor but just around the corner).

Just a head's up - Value will only allow four not five with occupancy. The rest of AKV is five for the one bedrooms. Just in case this pertains to you.

And recent reports are that you cannot put in a request for a specific view, it's luck of the draw.

Especially for 1 night, I would go with the value 1 bedroom. You can request savannah view, it's just not a guarantee, and the pool view is rather nice. Staying at Jambo is fun!

Yeah, MS did say it would just be a request, but that it'd either be a savannah or pool. She didn't say that it might be a parking lot view. For the low points though it wouldn't be a big deal.

Shucks...I guess this won't be an option for us then. Interesting that MS pulled up our earlier reservation (for before the cruise with the four children of course) but still offered it. It must not have showed up on her page.

Thanks for the tips. If we ever go to WDW without the kids, we'll be sure to check it out further.

Any other places you like to stay?? We did SSR once, not big fans, but I can see why others like it. Hmmm...back to the old drawing board.

Well I would throw in more points and try for a two bedroom Value at AKV or a two bedroom at BWV.

The BW would be fun for one night. I ADORE BWV.

And I always love when there is a live feed to the BW on here. You can hear so many children laughing and having fun.
