Specifically, where can we find the best cinnamon rolls? Jolly Holiday? New Orleans Square? Bakery in DCA? La Brea at DTD? We are looking for a soft yeasty roll, with lots of gooey cinnamon inside and a good amount of frosting (cream cheese is the gold standard it we are always open to improvement).

Between the dole whip floats, beignets, corn dogs, Bengal barbecue skewers, sourdough soup bowls, Blue Bayou lunch, and In-n-Out burgers, I have no idea where the rolls will fit. But we need them!

I'll also take any suggestions on where to find a proper fish taco anywhere in the vicinity. I'm beginning to see this trip as my opening move in the let's move back to California chess game.

I get your "need" for a good cinnamon roll;)!

The last time we had one, was at Jolly Holiday Bakery, and it was delicious! We devoured it in all of about five minutes!

It wasn't gooey, but it was very soft and fresh, with just the right amount of frosting.

The time before that, we had one(don't remember where we bought it), and it was dry and starting to get tough--so we tossed it(just think of all those calories we saved:(!

It can probably be hit or miss(like everything) but try Jolly Holiday and go from there:).

We always buy one on the way out of the park the night before. Then have it for breakfast the next morning. :)

Did Jolly Holiday used to be Blue Ribbon Bakery? We've always gotten cinnamon rolls at Blue Ribbon. So yummy!

We have only got them from Jolly Holiday, they're warmed up to order and delicious!

Our hotel has free breakfast, but we normally just grab a cup of coffee and a bagel to walk into the parks with so in the park we call it "2nd breakfast". We justify eating 2 of each meal a day because we share nearly everything...also we eat really healthy, and workout regularly when not in Disney. :rotfl:

I can't really help about the fish tacos. I know the Cove Bar in DCA has them, but I've never tried them (we always get the spinach dip and buffalo wings lol). Sorry! Here's a pic of the cinnamon roll from Jolly Holiday I took on our summer trip last year though.

As far as I have experienced, all of the cinnamon rolls are the same throughout the Parks. Maybe something different in DTD. They are dry IMO but we always get them anyway! I noticed fish tacos on the PCH Grill menu on allears but don't know whether that's current or if they're any good.

So glad I saw this thread. We had a cinnamon roll at Fiddler/Starbucks at DCA 2 days ago and didn't like it. All we tasted was sugar. It also looked the same as the one sold at Jolly Holiday. We'll definitely try the Old West ones and hope they're much better.

If these are the same ones that were at the Fair (Sonoma-Marin, in Petaluma, Ca) then these win hands down.

IMO, no frosting or toppings needed.

Yes! These are the ones found at County Fairs. The original shop is in Pismo and they have a variety of nuts and toppings there. Always delicious and much more gooey at the shop.

I bought a four pack to go last month in DTD along with four icings. Probably could have just bought two icings ($1 each) instead of four.

The ones in the park look so good, but ALWAYS disappoint. One time we even returned it, the frosting seemed plasticy and it was so dry it was inedible. When I took it back, they weren't at all surprised.

I will have to try the ones in DTD next trip, they look so good!

That is how I felt too. We never eat breakfast in the park so I got one to go for the next morning - was disappointed.

The next trip (we had APs) we stoped by the parks for breakfast on the day we headed home. Got a "fresh" one, again very disappointed.

Another vote of disappointment here. I really like cinnamon rolls and these were not so great.

What with an on site bakery, how is it that poor quality cinnamon rolls can be made?
