What items are on your must take list and what items could you have left at home?
We are going Oct 3-13 and staying at All Star Sports. I have already started packing stuff and picked up some great finds today at Target to add to my box:
* Tide - travel size - good for 4 loads and if I have to do more than that at WDW there's gonna be trouble!!
*All - fabric softener sheets - 20 in box for .99 - size of envelope about 1 inch thick
*Colgate - regular size tube - 5.00 for five - needed anyway so just packed one (why pay 1.00 for trial size when I can get regular size for same price?)
* Trail Size Renu Contact Solution for DH - don't want to bring big bottle .99
* Small 1oz size of sport sunblok - to put into fanny pack and bringing into parks to recoat the kids .99 - I have a regular size one for hotel room.
* bausch & Lomb eyedrops - again for DH incase of dry eye .99
* I also found oral b toothbrushes at the dollar store 1.00 each (why pack old ones from home - anytrip I get new ones for all)
* I also purchased 5 folders in different colors for all my cheat sheets. I am a nutso planner so I have a folder for each park - blue MK, green AK, etc. In each folder I have a basic itinirary and copies of dining menus with dates and reservation # written onto them (This way we can look at menu prior to actually getting there and seeing what we might want to order.) Also have tips and ideas in folders ie: hidden mickeys, cheap or free things to do - it's about 50 pages long in all with easy to read font.

What are you bringing or have brought in past and never used?

The only things we might not use are illness related (Motrin, thermometer, etc). Otherwise we usually use pretty much everything, although we often have drinks and snacks left.

Below is a copy of a standard packing list for me (keep in mind we drive to most destinations):

Disney Ears for Kids (for Disney only, we don't take these everywhere :rotfl: )
Film (we are all digital now!)
Camera
Camcorder
Drinks, Snacks
Bed Rail (for co-sleeping babies)
Swimsuits
Sunscreen
Pillows
Towels (for the pool)
dish soap, sponge, a few utensils, etc (for those with kitchenettes)
paper plates, napkins, cutlery (again, for those with kitchenettes)
microwaveable foods (again, kitchenettes)
Kids to do on trip stuff
aaa card
park tickets
sun hats
snugli/sling
Pack N Play and sheet
Laptop
nebulizer/inhalor (I am an asthmatic)
pajamas
deoderant/toothpaste/shampoo/hair brush/soap/baby bath
diapers/cream/wipes
Kids medications
hair bows
bike lock for stroller (for those traveling with a stroller)
pack double stroller
sick stuff (thermometer, bandaids, advil, eye drops, etc)
laundry detergent

And I haven't even gotten to the clothes  Usually I pack enough for the days we will be there +2, more panties and socks than you can count, and enough pajamas to change them out every other day. 2 pairs of shoes, and 2 swimsuits (if the destination has a pool). The clothes are the easy part to remember....it's everything else I always forget!

Must haves:

stroller rain covers
ponchos
stain stick
first aid baggie for parks (moleskin, a few bandaids, bactine wipes, chewable benadryl for the kids in case of beesting, a few ibuprofen for adults)
brita water bottle
mister fan
swim arm bands for kids
diapers, swim diapers, baby food, formula, wipes
trial size deodorant for the park ;)
small bottle of purell
sunglasses
small flashlights for kids (for dark rides)

Happy Day, you must be my long lost sister! We are going Oct 1-8 and also staying at All Star Sports. I've already printed out my calendar for the week, including all the meals, especially lunch with Cinderella on our first day! And we have tixx to the Halloween party too! I've already made 30 page travel journals too keep the kids from getting bored on the plane.

Check out themouseforless for a bunch of cool stuff to print out, including the "ultimate" packing list.

Ultimate Disney Packing List from mousavers.com

I used this great list before our 2003 trip and I found many things that I may never have thought of. It's really all-inclusive, in fact I had to cut out some things. It really covers anything you would possibly need!
