I just convinced my husband yesterday that he should run the marathon - so we're tentatively looking at 1/10-1/16 or so. I'm waiting to hear back from my mostly mediocre TA so we can get our room-only reservation set up!

(AND!!! I convinced him we should stay on property the whole week - woohoo!)

Hi guys! I am new to all this...I just joined today and I'm loving all of the good info on here!!!

Here's a little bit of new info I found out today...I called and made our reservations for WL for Feb.1 - Feb 6 2009 (hotel only until the new rates come out) and the CM told me that the cut off for making PS for dining is Jan.31...That's just our luck! but to call back October 24th to make PS for our trip...hope this helps out!

My husband is really excited about the idea of running through Disney. He's funny in that he LIKES Disney but you can't exactly get him to admit it. He'd meant to run in 2005 but he got injured and couldn't. We went anyway and had a really gret time.

I don't know, I have never used a TA. But I would guess that you could.

Yeah, the half-marathon is sold out but there is still some space in the full marathon. And if DH doesn't get there in time, we'll go another week in January. No biggie.

We booked our ADR's!!!! WooHOO- One step closer. DH is booking room only in the A.M. So we got flight and food, now I need room and price- followed by code!

You can still get a spot in the 1/2 if you book your trip with Anthony Travel. There are also spots reserved if you sign up with a charity like Team in Training.

Whew! Am I relieved to know I'm not the only one who hasn't booked their rooms yet! My friends take absolutely forever, and now we are booking on August 17th..I know, soo far away, but that's the date they decided for room only. I figure with 4 value resorts, and 4 moderate, someone has to have two rooms, right?!

We just booked our ADRs for our Jan trip--the 21st-27th! I'm soooo excited. It seems real now! The CM I spoke to was sooo sweet and told me she was "proud of" me for getting everything I wanted at all the most popular places (CM, CP, 1900PF, etc) by calling on my first day.

With our trip being so close to the cutoff for ADRs, she was waiting anxiously to see if the computer would let her do each day at a time. Thankfully, we aren't doing TS meals on our last 2 days, or I would have had to call back in October! I would have hated having my trip only partly planned at this point!

Here's hoping they don't throw in a P&PP on one of our MK days... ...and waiting for package prices to come out!

I have been to WDW 8 times in the last 4 years and I've never booked more than 3 months in advance and I've always gotten the room I wanted. We've been 5 times in January and I've always booked in October. I don't think you have anything to worrry about.

How many nights are you staying, and what are the dates?

You can easily get her cost for dining and tickets based on the number of nights you're staying and days you have tickets for.

Her share of the room cost depends on how you want to split it up. She could pay 1/4 of the room cost, since she is one of four people staying in it. She could pay 1/3, since there are three adults staying in it. Or she could pay only the extra charge for a third adult, if you figure you would have paid the regular room rate if she weren't there. The total room cost would be the package price minus the cost of tickets (3 adults, 1 child) minus the cost of the dining plan (3 adults, 1 child).

We can help with the actual numbers if we know the dates...
