Lets Plan a DIS trip to DL

OK, after listening to the DL podcast I've got to agree that it would be a good idea to plan a trip to DL and I think it would be great to do it as part of a larger DIS gathering.

I love the suggestion to do the DL Food & Wine festival next year even though the timing would be close to the PodCast Cruise.

I'm wondering if anybody else is seriously considering this. If there is enough interest, I'm sure Dreams Unlimited could negotiate a good deal for group space.

What say you all?

I think its a great idea. But thats mostly because im from california and there is no way I could ever make a wdw dis meet. Since next year the festival will land around the same time as the podcast cruise it could just be a generic meet not scheduled around anything else.

I've shied away from returning to the podcasts still but your comment definitely intrigues me!

Actually, I'm going to LA in March and DH of all things suggested I go a few days early so I can go to DLR!! Altho I feel a bit guilty going without him, I can't resist and I've decided to spend 2 days there.

I imagine the podcast team would be pretty busy setting up for the cruise so I'm not sure if DL F&W would be the best timing for them logistically. Of course they will let us know, as we know they're not shy to speak up

It's funny you mention this.

While we were in CA, I mentioned to Walter that I wanted to do something around next years festival. If we have enough people, perhaps we could convince them to make a 'signature' event just for us.

Given that it's really close to the podcast cruise, the entire team would not be able to attend, but I know that some of us could (at the very least Walter and I). If there is enough interest among our listeners, I'd be really excited to do this. So, if you think you might be able to make it, let me know. I don't have exact dates for next years event, but I imagine it will be similar to this years (which started on April 11th).

So, who's game??

but it sounds great. We've been F&Wers for a good number of years, but Pete and Walter's Podcast really peaked our interest!!
