Let's Hear Some HHN Reviews!

My web site is up and ready for everyone to view.

http://www.nogodforme.com/HHN16.htm

One thing they can do next week to help the crowds, is have the soundstage houses open on time. On Saturday night, Screamhouse was supposed to open at 05:30pm for the people in the S&S area, but instead it opened at 05:45pm. The next house (All Nite Die In2) had a line and wasn't ready when people came out of the first house. So the late start of the first house, and then the 2nd not being open caused a dominoe effect.

A couple years ago, the S&S area was between the soundstage houses, and people could go thru them before the others opened. This was the best setup.

Nice pictures. Thansk 4 the link! I like all of them, except the one that has a man without hair or is it a dummie using the toilet?(pic 4) I don`t want/need to see that at Psychoscareapy.

"Psychoscareapy was located next to Jimmy Neutron and the Bone Yard area.".......

great website and pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It makes me want to go back!

We went Sat night and we already knew ahead of time to get our Express passes. We got in right at 6:30 and the line to Psychoscarepy was already 75 minutes.

I liked all the houses except in a couple of houses there were Staff members running you through. Now I know it was crowded but I dont want someone to herd me through the house like cattle. And its not like we just stopped and stood there we were walking the whole time and they kept rushing us along. That kind of kills a scare.

There were 6 of us and 4 of us had on our Chainsaw Wolf tee shirts so we got a little extra attn in some places and that was a lot of fun. It was a girls trip and only 2 of us had been to HHN before.

My family trip is end of Oct so my 16 yr old and I will be there on the 28th! and we already have our express passes ready to go!

Can someone give a little detail on exactly what the theming is, example haunted hospital with hospital patients with psycho surgeons performing experiments on them etc., I probably wont get to go this year so would love to hear details. thanks.

We went on Saturday night and it was slammed with people, if I had not had an express pass I would have left, it was crazy! With the express we were able to do everything by 11pm. We did have a long wait for the Mummy even with express. Psychopath was our last house and the regular wait line was around 2 hours! People were complaining about the express pass people and I heard one of the employees tell a disgruntled man that the express pass people had paid $50 per ticket for that priviledge (good for him for standing up to the rude man!)! I kinda felt sorry for the people waiting in the regular line but I'm glad there are still tons of people that don't buy express!

This was my 3rd year in a row and I have to say in my opinion has been the best so far that I have been to. Bill and Ted's was probably better last year but was still great!

Once I have been through the houses they all blur together, but I thought Psychopath was the best, I got one really great scare in there! The house with the horror icons in it was awesome too! The one with the poop smell, OMG I do not know how the actors work in there, it was disgusting! We had several people in our group that had never been before and they all had a great time! The scare zones were kinda lame and there didn't seem to be as many street people out to scare you as there have been in the past but that may change as this was the first weekend. The stiltwalkers were great as usual.

Those jello shots in the hyperdermic needles are awesome!

I went the first weekend, and it sucked. I'm so disappointed in HHN's this year.

I've been going the past three years and loved every bit of it, but this year it’s on the smaller side of the park and they brought back former houses. Good houses, but not scary once you’ve been in them more than once. The themed streets weren't even that great.

It seemed the lines were incredibly longer this year too. I don't know if we hit them at the wrong time, but we waited over an hour each to get into each house. Well lets say the rest of my group did while I pouted else where. We never needed to buy speed passes in the past, since we never had to wait to long.

The verdict: Will NOT be attending HHN next year. What a waste of money....

:sad2:

Gee, you must have enjoyed yourself afterall if you went through all of the BRAND NEW houses more than once! I mean, you did go through them... right? :rolleyes1 Or would that get in the way of your pouting?

I've been going to HHN since 1999! every year it's different. The #1 thing to do is to go to the event w/ a master plan. For example this is what we do:
1. We always go in the middle of the month. That way, all the scare actors have their task packed down from doing it weekend in & out.
2. If you have the budget, stay on-site hotels & try to stay 2 days or so.
3. "Our all time favorite rule is to buy Express Passes, it's a must.
4. Review the event map & read through out the boards on the reviews of what other people do to have a good time. (the do's & dont's).

I've converted my HHN16 videos to Flash. They stream instantly. All you need is the latest version of Adobe Flash installed. Scroll down to the bottom of my page, and then click the link for the Flash Videos. You can see most of the B&T show.

Thank you soooo much! For those of us who cant make it there, it gives a little taste of what we are missing.
hey...a little is better than none at all.
thanks again

So, what does everyone think the 12th (a Thursday) will be like?

I'm sorry, I can't justify $50 additional for a front of the line pass. That's $100 for my sister and I, in addition to the $38 we already paid a piece for tickets.

Hopefully it wont be bad. After going one year without the EP and standing in line a hour to 1.5 hours for each house its not hard to justify the cost for me.

They call that night, the second Thursday in October, Hell Night, heck its really called Hell week. Its the second week of the event, its starting to get rolling, kids are off school thursday and friday.

Oh boy, I'd definately buy the express passes for that week if you want to make it thru all the houses.

If you can't afford it, then be inside USF at 4pm and go to Screamhouse first. It's next to Twister. Then go to All Nite Die In2, then Psychoscearpy. You'll get thru the 3 soundstage houses, then you can go to RUN, the B&T show, and then watch the Directors Cut in the lagoon.

Let's hear more reviews from this weekend. I'm curious to hear how long the lines were.

So, the park actually opens at 4? Everything I've seen is for 6:30...

Thats stay and scream. If you only have a HHN ticket they wont let you in til 6:30

Lets clear it up. If you already have day tickets for Universal, you have to make sure you are in the Studios before 4 o clock. At that point you will be directed to a waiting area where you will be able to wait until about 5:30 or 6 to go in. You get in early. Also, you get in before the rest of the crowds at 6:30. If you do not have a day ticket, you do not get to go in early.
Now UO has complicated matters. If you pay 10 dollars more, you can go to IOA between the hours of 4 and 7, I believe. This is not stay and scream...this is merely a way for you to go to IOA for 10 bucks. You are not allowed to go into HHN early....if I read that correctly.
So, another sum up. Day ticket to USF=Stay and Scream=Early admit into HHN.

Is there a place to grab something to eat when doing The Stay and Scream?
