Let's hear from all you OFF KILTER fans !!!!

Doesnt Mark have the most amazing voice? all the guys are great!
I had the pleasure of getting up on stage w/them last Aug for pictures and autographs. Will bring back my other CDs this year for more autographs!

I also like "Here I stand" and "Nothing Changes" on celtic. Both have become my favorite songs by them too. I can't wait to hear those songs live. I know they play Here I Stand but I wonder if they ever play nothing changes....Any comments on that?

When I was at Epcot March 18th they played Nothing Changes. I love that song. I also love Here I Stand but didn't hear that one live. I love their original songs especially from Celtic Armadillo and Kick It. I have all of their CDs and I like Celtic Armadillo and Kick It and Live Tracks the best - my copy of Kick It is special since on St Patricks Day we were given that CD by Jamie and had all the guys sign it. Looking forward to seeing them again in May!!

Off Kilter ROCKS ! We see them everytime we go down ! My DH met them and they were awesome!

We also got to meet them on our last trip. It was so great to talk to them for a little while. They are so great with there fans. :)

Aren't they great guys? They are very appreciative of their fans. What was funny to me was it seemed like they were amazed that we would travel 3 hours to see them when they performed in East Orlando on St Patty's day. I will be glad when May gets here so I can see them again. Now that I discovered Off Kilter my Disney trips seem to be coming more often (and breaking the bank!! LOL)

I really enjoyed seeing/hearing them a few weeks ago, and I also met Kathy (dznyacct) in the audience. They really do look so much younger in that 1999 photo! They're all adorable - but I'm partial to keyboard players. ;)

I've been told that they'll be recording another CD soon - yay! I agree that buying the CD from them online benefits the buyer and the group - as you will pay a flat $20 via mailorder vs $20 + tax at WDW.

When I was at WDW in October, Jamie wasn't there, but Jason filled in on the fiddle. He was fantastic! If I had never seen the group before, I never would've missed the bagpipes. I would love to hear them when both Jamie and Jason are playing - but I suppose that doesn't happen at Epcot.

Can't wait to return in 2 weeks. I sure hope they're playing on Thursday, April 19 when I arrive - and I hope my afternoon plane is on time!

As a musician, I appreciate and respect Off Kilter. They are all superb musicians, and their self-deprecating on-stage humor is first rate. Their interpretive songs are excellent but their originals, like "Alive" and "Like You" are even better.

Jamie Holton is a consumate front man and his piping skills are amazing. His goofy deportment will never shroud his musical brilliance.

Marl Weldon's bass playing becomes more sophisticated each season. And his vocals carry the band.

Tony Escapa's keyboard work is appropriate, unpretentious yet stylish. His rare solos are skillful flights of musical fancy.

Randy Holbrook has successfully adopted every classic riff---from Tom Johnston of the Doobie Brothers to Eddie Van Halen---into an eclectic style all his own. His intro on "Danny Boy" deserves maximum volume.

Scott Zymowski? He's probably one of the best drummers around. Period. His percussion work does not go unappreciated.

thank you so much for putting their talent into words

Thanks BC1836 for putting into words about how I feel about these guys. Our trip to WDW would not be complete for my wife and I without seeing our group perform many, many times. They are just so great to watch and hear in person.

When I started this thread I had no idea I would be getting this big of a responce. It just shows how much we all really love OFF KILTER.

Now let's keep those post comming.

You are quite welcome, Ron.
When we first saw them a decade ago, I was impressed on many levels. The musicianship was first rate and their stage presence expressed confidence. But when that first EPCOT visitor approached to take a photo during one of their songs... You know the rest: Jamie, Mark and Randy group shoulder-to-shoulder and deliver a "say-cheese" grin! Their response seemed to say "we're not elitists; we're one of you!" And yet it was oh so cool.

Wow - 10 years! I am pretty sure I didn't hear them until late Nov. 1999, because I remember getting their autographs back then. (Yep - just checked my photo album from 11/99 with pics of the group!) I would usually listen to them once per trip, but then I went through a British Invasion phase for several years! It's only in the past year that I've been sitting through every set every day they play when I'm there - and I bought all 5 of their CD's in 2006 - one per trip! :)

BC1836, You are so right. Since the first time we saw them about 10 years ago we were impressed by how great they were. They were so much better than the average theme park entertainment. They are just so fantastic. I f they ever come around Michigan I guarentee we will be there to watch them. We always try to set aside one day during our trip so that we can just watch them all day. :)

I became a huge fan on our last trip in April of '06. We are headed back in 26 days and they are on my itinerary. I can't wait to see them. We bought 3 CD's and I love each one.

I had always heard about them, but never took the time to actually wait to see them. Now I'm so sorry I did. The are awsome. We were lucky enough to wait around at the end and meet them. They invited us up on stage for pictures and stuff. How cool...they are SO nice!

CAN'T WAIT!!  :cloud9: :goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2 :yay: :rolleyes1 :cheer2: :flower3: :cool2:

That's great! Wow, you must have been there for the AllEars interview!
This summer marks the 10th anniversary of the boys being at the Canada pavilion. They really were young lads, I became a fan back then!::yes::

Wow, you DO know your OK history. LOL! Yes, I was there for that interview and even took the pix on the allearsnet page, a moment I will never forget. Hubba Hubba Hubba.

I will probably just have to visit EPCOT every day just to hear Nothing Changes and all their other amazing songs. (I will be doing the CP in the fall). lol

Na that will defnitely be my next request first day I see them

Packwingfn - lucky you - have fun in the CP I am sure its a great experience that I wish I would have known about when I was in college.

Our next trip I am planning in May for the Swan so we can be close to Epcot. We are mainly going for the Flower & Garden festival but I am going to make sure I sit in at as many Off Kilter sets as I can in the 2 days we are staying and if my DH doesn't like he can just go back to the room!! LOL

Probably something in my Scotish heritage, but I love the pipes. I've been a fan of Off Kilter for 7 or 8 years now and we always spend a few sets every visit to Epcot listening to them play. Except, that is, our last trip the first week of December. They weren't there that week! I was so disappointed! I have 4 of the 5 CDs. I like the Live tracks CD(listening to it right now), but I have to say I'm heavily hooked on "Nova Scotia/Scotland the Brave on the "Off Kilter" CD.

We'll be going again in October and hopefully I'll get my Off Kilter fix at that point.

One of the posts posed the idea of a Christmas CD. I'm in for that one.
