Let's Go Mets!

I ordered my shirt last night right after the last out (the stores never carry my size) and I'm about to go out to buy my hat and whatever goodies I can find!

The Mets are going to the World Series! Holy crap, I still can't believe it!

Same goes for my fiance, stores hardly ever have his size. He can't wait for the day he can walk into a store and buy a shirt, he's getting there.

We spent way too much on Mets gear last night but who cares because the METS ARE IN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!

My fiance last night was like IDK how to feel about this. I have never had a winning team to root for haha. Poor guy doesn't remember what it is like for the Mets to actually be good.

Well, I've been a Mets fan since 1969 (I was 8 at the time, not jumping on a bandwagon, my parents were Mets fans from the beginning). So I had a little bit of fun in 1973 (they lost Game 7 of the WS to the A's), a lot of fun in 1986, and a little bit of fun in 2000.

I'm the unusual Mets fan - I'm also a NY football Giants fan, so I've at least had their Super Bowl wins to be happy about, especially the last two when they beat the Patriots.

Fiance grew up in a Mets family. I should take a picture of the "museum" and post it here. His dad became a Mets fan when the Brooklyn Dodgers left when he was a kid. He was lost as a baseball fan and found his way to the Mets. Fiance grew up with his die-hard dad being a Mets fan. He doesn't care about football but is a rabid hockey fan. Poor guy is a Florida Panthers fan so he's had a rough go of it in life with hockey. He is also a Rangers fan so thankfully he has had those wins but they don't hold the same spot as the Panthers.

I was brought into a Mets family as a die-hard Astros fan. Also love my Rockets so I've grown up knowing winning teams. The only thing I don't know is what it feels like to have a home team go to the super bowl. I keep hoping the Texans will make that happen but it doesn't look like it ever will.

Are you going to try and make it out to Citi Field for a game?

hey Mets fan's..kept trying to think of who he reminded me of this series, Yukon Cornelius form Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer~(and not jabbing, it was seriously in my head lol)

wonder where he is gonna end up after this season :confused3

Good luck to the NY Metropolitans in the World Series. Signed a Yankee fan who does not care for Kansas City or Toronto.

My screen name actually stands for New York Mets, so add me to the list of "OMG We're going to the World Series, whoooooooo!"

My dad migrated to the Mets after the Brooklyn Dodgers left. My mom snd dD were HS sweethearts and dad would bicycle to my moms wearing his Dodgers jacket. I grew up a "daddy's girl" so a Mets fan. My mom a Yankees fan. I married a Yankees fan and DS is a Yankees fan. My parents were at the game in '69 when the amazing Mets won the series.
