Oh pretty pretty princess!

Okay, that is just too wierd! I have a friend named Gwen who looks kinda like you and we call each other Pink Pretty Princess! LOL We used to play a game with the kindergarten kids called Pink Flamingos. You ask them a question and their answer always has to be Pink Flamingos, and they can't laugh or they are out. So you ask a boy, "What's on your bed sheets?" and he has to say, "Pink Flamingos" with a straight face. One day we got bored with Pink Flamingos, so I changed it to Pink Pretty Princess. This one boy LOVED it when I'd ask him what his room was decorated with!

So one day I got tired of hearing, "Mrs. Amber! Mrs. Amber! Mrs. Amber!!!" So I said, "My name isn't Mrs. Amber anymore, it's Pink Pretty Princess." The kids thought it was hilarious, so they called me that all week! Then Gwen got in on it, too. It was so funny.

Anyways, Vern is usually pretty patient, but sometimes I wonder if his PMS is worse than mine! He'll get cranky, too. He was cranky when I went shopping for the pirate hats, so he just sat by the fountain and skulked.

Great Report Amber! I'm planning my very first trip to WDW. I will be there in 4 weeks!!! My DH can't go, so my DD2 and I are going alone! I'm so excited, I don't think anything will rain on my parade! Kind of disappointed that DH can't go, but decided to still go without him. I'm gonna try to get him to go back in Dec.but the week before Christmas. We'll be celebrating our 4th Wedding anniversary on 12-27 and 9th Anniversary together. We got married on the 5th anniversary of our first "date".

PaMom completely understand, also in South Central PA. But I guess the bitter cold should end soon!

I think you did the right thing, when you decided to leave the park and return to the resort. Though I am sure you were disappointed, it was better than staying in the park and being extremely cranky! That would have made poor memories. Your DH was very generous to take it in stride and leave the park with you. Plus, the two of you actually had a few hours to enjoy the resort that you paid extra for - over a value! I always try, (and I say try because sometimes it is hard to do) look at things from a positive angle.

Keep the TR additions Pink Princess!

Amber-It sounds as if you still had a great day even with PMS! Actually, your evening sounds wonderfully relaxing to me! With 6 kids , my evenings aren't usually that laid back! Chores, baths... Can't wait to hear the rest!!!!

This is a great first trip report!!! And as far as I'm concerned, the longer the better. I just love reading trip reports.

I can not believe you live in Virginia Beach! DH and I just moved from there in January. We lived there for 10 years!

Can't wait to read the next installment!!!!

PS I'm sure everyone will be able to relate to your PMS. We have all been there and you did the right thing leaving! Probably saved another major meltdown.

Sounds like you hit quite a bit in the morning at MK. We usually take a resort break mid-day on most days because we find we need the down time at peak heat and peak crowd levels.

DW wandered by on the way to the kitchen for breakfast and said she'd jump on a little later. I'm on my way to join her before getting ready for work.

So sorry, Amber, I had posted a teasing remark on my TR about you not starting yours when in fact you had--DisneyJo set me straight. I edited it out, but I apologize anyway and have just caught up.

Who knew that they would be so picky about what kinds of ziploc--sheesh!

Glad you got your Mickey Waffle Iron. Buy those things now, once you have kids, all you'll think is--that's a half a swing set. LOL!

I wish I could have sent DS8 with you to Disney Quest. DH wasn't feeling good, so I had to take one for the team and it just wasn't my thing.

I'm so glad you made it to the Adventurer's Club. My Mom & I wanted to go, but we were just too darn tired. I definitely think we have to go back for a girls weekend and do all the adult stuff.

I, too, experience PMS at the Happiest Place on Earth and it is definitely hard with the crowds. But can you think of anyplace else you'd rather PMS???

While scrambling to get the kids out the door this morning, I walked by DH on the computer reading this TR. Talk about jealous! I looked at the screen as I ran by and said, "Hey, is that Amber's TR?" So now it is 10 minutes until the kids got home, but I got to read too!

I can't wait to read more. Good luck with your test.

But, I have to take exception with your history. The two kids who had to get on the bus were already gone when you ran by. I distinctly remember as I was the one outside at the end of the driveway watching for the school bus in the rain.

My two partners are off looking at new office furniture, and I couldn't resist a quick DIS at work in between jobs.

Oh, don't even worry about it! I knew you were joking. I myself was feeling kinda guilty about catching up on all my replies and not writing more of my TR.

Actually, I am kinda kicking myself for not getting to it sooner and not journaling in my PassPorter. Now I can't remember which night we went to Shutters at CBR. It might have actually been day 2 after leaving MK early. I'll have to consult Vern and see if he remembers...

Since I didn't post on my TR, I will say it here. You two REALLY need to do a tour! DH and I did the Keys To The Kingdom tour at WDW and LOVED it! We found out so much new info and got to go behind the curtain
We are doing two tours next week and can't wait to see what we learn on them.

It stands for a walk in Walts footsteps it's a DL tour. Have fun Amber, make the most of the things that aren't child friendly. I would like to do some tours but at least it's a reason to go back, as if I need one.
