David:
I was at your last member update also! I was the one who kept his hand up every time you asked 'who owns at OKW?, who owns at BCV' etc. since I own at all seven DVC's. Enjoyed the cake!
Good luck to you in Texas!

That makes at least three of us who were at David's last weekly update back in October. It was my first trip home to SSR, but certainly not my last. I'm looking forward to staying there this year in October and December and eating at the new Turf Club restaurant. I've only visited Saratoga Springs in New York once, but I think Disney did a great job of theming SSR.
I wouldn't want to see any change in theme, I like the way it feels now, and I think it will only improve when it's completed. As much as I love Disney, it's nice to stay somewhere where it's presented in a more subtle way, too much of anything can be a bad thing. SSR has a sophisticated, grown up feel to it, but it will still be great for when we have kids.
The one change that I would like to see is a better bar area. The Turf Club is ok, but it's a little bit small and lacking in atmosphere. Something bigger, a bit more relaxed, preferably with a decent view, would be great. A good indoor bar is the one thing that has been lacking for me, even at Downtown Disney, but i'm hoping Raglan Road will have covered that now.
I've just been looking at the arial pictures of where the new buildings will be on the golf course, and i'm pretty excited about them. Being able to stay onsite at Disney, with views of a golf course, and a short walk to the night time entertainment area...it couldn't get any better than that for me
