We had some thread regarding a three latter word not going to say it because I don't want it to turn into a bad thread.

Let share happy stories you had at Disney it could be anything from doing something nice for another guest. Or you just being able to enjoy your vacation or where a cm went above and beyond to help you. Anything positive or funny stories or anything you like to share that will not lead to any arguments or come across rude.

This will be a thread where no one will judge you are say anything rude to you. I figure this is the best forum on disboards with the Friendliest disers most if the time. But as of late do to rumors and only rumors and mentioning the three letter word we have disers not being nice to each other. I and know we are all better then that I figure to start this thread to mend some fences.

This is a non Disney bashing thread

We had a CM named Dianna surprise us by taking us through the back way & putting us directly onto Buzz Lightyear. When we got off the ride we found a bunch of Buzz Lightyear stickers on our stroller. :)

The trip before we had an awesome CM named Audrey help us get a rental stroller while being stuck in the back of the park due to the Electrical Parade. We couldn't get through the crowds so she talked to a supervisor and got us one from one of their storage areas...for free! :)

Our best Disney moment happened on IASW. Our son was almost 5 and only repeated phrases or songs. He had never just spoken. While we were riding IASW he started pointing at things and naming them (balloon, giraffe, elephant, etc) It was the 1st time there was an actual connection to what he was saying & it was MAGICAL! It's why DW and IASW will always be special to us :)

Those are great stories and happy they happened to you.

Thanks. I made sure to email Disney about the wonderful CMs we had an actually got a phone call back about our last visit. I think great CMs deserve our thanks and recognition for their thoughtfulness.

During the year of a million dreams, my daughter who was wearing a Cinderella shirt was pulled aside for a special meet and greet. It was in a special room behind guest services with just Cinderella, a photographer and our family. We had about 15-20 minutes all alone with her. It was wonderful!!!

Awesome!

This how I become addicted to visiting Disney. It is 1999 and my sister and I pool our resources for "once in a lifetime" trip to Disney world. Her children are 2 and 9 and have never been.

On the flight down, my nine year old niece declares that the thing she wants most is for one of the characters to take her hand and lead her to dance in the parade - like on the planning video. My heart sinks - I do not know how to make that happen. The video is staged with adorably cute LITTLE kids and she is a big for her age, nine year old. And she was certain, absolutely positive that this was going to happen!

But when we are in EPCOT watching the Tapestry of Nations parade, a beautiful butterfly dancer comes over to her, reaches out her hand and off they go, dancing down the street!

Since that "we are only going to go once" trip, I have been more times than I have fingers to count them on. And that nine year old girl has graduated college and joined WDW on a permanent basis making magic for children every day.

That is great I love the fact she had that happen and then remember how it great that was and then became a cm. to spread the magic to another kid we need more great cms like your niece. Because they get how great Disney is they see how one thing can make a a good trip into a great trip.

Staying at Pop Century, our kids, who have food allergies, watched the other kids as they left the good court with their tie dye cheesecake with envy. Chef John noticed this as we were ordering and asked if it was ok if he brought them something special. He sent us out to watch the movie playing outside. 10 minutes later he comes out to the lawn and with a lot of fanfare and presents us with the biggest most over the top sundaes ever! My kids felt so special and welcomed by him, and they were more than a little thrilled to be the ones who were envied for a bit ;)

That great the chef saw he could do something special and he took the time to make your kids stay even more magical.

Here is one our most memorable times: Christmas 2011, kids were 3 1/2, waiting for LWTL (one of my all time faves), one of my DDs was crying because she could see it might be dark. Joel, CM extraordinaire, came over and talked to her about how not only does he work at EPCOT, but he actually lives back there in the ride. That his house was there, along with his dog Rover. He asked my DD to please go back and check on him because he was so busy. So, she was brave and Rover was fine (shoulda heard the squeal of delight when we found the dog!). WHen we came out, Joel had a nice certificate for her saying how brave she was etc.!! Last year when we went back, we found Joel again and wanted to say hi, but he was literally running down to change spots with someone else so we couldn't stop him :( Perhaps this year! Great fellow!

One (among many) that stands out is CM Steve at Space Mountain. We rode it many times through out the trip. The majority of those rides, Steve was working the wheelchair entrance and DS really took a liking to him. DS wanted Steve to ride with him and didn't want me to ride at all. Steve went and got permission and someone else to cover to his post. So Steve and DS took off and me and the new CM headed down to the exit with the wheelchair. DS was so happy you would have thought the Mouse himself rode with him.

That is too sweet! :)

While in line to meet Aladdin in Epcot, my son asked if we could try to go meet Belle ( he LOVES the princesses) I told him that I did not think that we would be able to because it was getting to hot for him and she was not even out yet and she might already have a long line of people waiting. You could tell that he was sad, but he understood. The Cm working the line took me to the side and asked if my son really wanted to meet Belle. I said yes and tried to explain the situation. He got on his radio and asked when Belle was coming out and walked off. He came back, asked me my sons name then he told someone on the radio my sons name and what he was wearing. He then told us to walk over the the area where Belle would be.
We get to that area and a different CM stops us and tells us to wait in a area off to the side. Belle comes out and my son gets so excited. Then she looks right at him and said " Noah, where have you been, I was looking all over for you". I can not tell you how happy that made him. For her to know his name was the most special thing in the world to him.

Oh my gosh! I can just imagine how excited your son must have been! I love those magical Disney moments!!!

We had some thread regarding a three latter word not going to say it because Sony want it to turn into a bad thread.

I have no idea what you are talking about, .....but anyway, nice idea, although most sections of DIS are harmless as well & DO have a lot of uplifting stories and people, you just have to look.

i meant i don't want not sure how i got sony in their sorry auto correct on apple sometimes goes to far sometimes

i know and most of the time the disabilities forum is the best and with the most caring people but a couple threads have gotten a little out of hand. So i figure we all should regroup step back and post good stories and we all be nice to each other then may be it will spill over to other threads and threads won't turn bad.

All the stories shared so far are great so please keep them coming we all like hearing about the great disney can be and how great your trips have been.
